Oh Wow! This is so damn cool! Now if only other countries (more so, the BCCI) take a leaf out of this book and play around with Indian team's kits and brings back some of the most iconic ODI kits back. My most favorite ones are the 1998 India's Sharjah Cup kit (with the flag colors as stripes on the shoulder; the Sachin Desert Storm Kit), the 2003 India World Cup Kit.

For me, India's 1992 world cup kit is the best of all time. The current blue is not my favourite.

The current one is not likely to be anybody's favorite. In India, they used to design ODI kits with a certain kind of passion in the 90's and early 2000's. But since 2005 or so and later, the creativity over kit design has steadily, and at times rapidly, deteriorated to the point where the kit design these days are NO MORE attractive.[DOUBLEPOST=1547144477][/DOUBLEPOST]

Back to the ODI series - For the sake of the team and the fans, hope MS Dhoni finds his 'badly needed' form. And hope India's ODI middle order is truly tested during this tour so that they get good prep for the WC.

Nike is possibly the worst brand to endorse a cricket team. They're totally uninterested in the sport and you just have to see their advancements in the field since they cracked the BCCI deal. They just wait for the ICC events and sell the jerseys to make the moolah. Adidas, New Balance and Puma are heavily invested in the sport not just in terms of wearable kit but also protective gear and willow. I know for a fact that when Nike was sponsoring players bats, they were all outsourced from manufacturers like SS/SG with just Nike labels.

2003 WC is my all time favorite as well although 99 WC one was good too.

The player names in the 99 and 03 world cups on the back of the jersey was barely recognisable in my opinion.

Just to clarify, is what Hardik said really misogynistic or is it it just crass? There's a difference between the two. I'm not entirely sure what he's said that is necessarily misogynistic or sexist?

It's nothing. It's a typical social media sh!t storm and that's forced this reaction. It's a lesson though for our cricketers to be fake and vanilla in interviews and not themselves. Our nation is over sensitive about things and what Shastri said on a cricket field is far far worse.

I think people might consider this statement as funny but for me 2011 WC kit is the most memorable one as it was the first edition of WC which I had seen and followed and is pretty nostalgic to me as these were my childhood memories and also 2009-10 jersey seemed to be the 2nd best for me. I just loved those 2

Absoultely! Things are being blown out for proportion more often than not in social media these days. More to follow .....
