India tour of Australia Nov'20-Jan'21

However, it's the difficult pitches that he won't be suitable on. A hint of movement in the pitch, and he'll be a walking wicket.
I can say the Gabba pitch definitely doesn't suit Rohit's batting for sure. He would be bounced out on that pitch. I think if he is to get a big score it has to be the flat pitch of SCG.

If the pitch has some support for the batsmen, I also back Rohit to go and hit a big daddy century.

The part about his head is absolutely right.

Biggest myth.

If you watch Rohit and Virat's technique very closely, Rohit is a lot more compact. To sight an example from yesteryear, Rohit is a lot like Sachin with his triggers while Virat is a lot like a mix of VVS and RSD. Just take any clip out of them driving and pulling and see how much Virat and VVS go at the ball while Sachin and Rohit wait for it to come to them. Virat also has a decisive back and across and because of that, he has more foot movements (increasing feet movement and reducing time) while Rohit simply has one forward press and then he just picks up line on release and transfers weight from that front foot (either forward or back from the same foot).

The biggest difference between them is in the mind. Rohit simply lacks patience and Virat while very outwardly aggressive and chest out has them in abundance. I for one was not at all surprised with what happened to Kohli in England simply because his make up is such that he will always go looking for the ball. People talk a lot about feet but it is the hands that get you into trouble and Rohit will generally be very much in his stance while Kohli will be at least a foot out. The only place where Virat is slightly ahead of Rohit is with his head and that actually enables Virat to make up for some of his lunges as it was with RSD. If Rohit can just keep his head figuratively and literally, there is not a batsman in the world that can touch him. Not even AB.

Does anyone know where we can catch this game? Which channel it is being shown. In highlights I noticed they had full commentary. If anyone can let me know, much appreciated.

No idea where you are trying to view this but here in USA its being telecasted on Willow HD. The way Prithvi Shaw's career has been going on, I see him being another Unmukt Chand. If it was upto me, Gill has looked much better overall compared to Shaw. He should be opening for India with Agarwal.

I feel this should be our XI

Mayank Agarwal
Shubman Gill
Cheteshwar Pujara
Virat Kohli
Ajinkya Rahane
Hanuma Vihari
Rishabh Pant
R Ashwin
Navdeep Saini
Jasprti Bumrah
Mohammad Shami

Rohit Sharma can replace Virat Kohli or KL can replace Kohli and play before Pant 5th down.

Seeing how Gill has batted in the 20 deliveries, he has shown better technique and intent compared to Shaw. Agarwal and Shaw were going to open in 2018 before Shaw getting injured. Post that injury, he has not recovered his batting form one bit. A poor IPL has not helped at all.

Some glorious effort less shots from Gill. He is a natural aggressor but all his shots have been so natural.[DOUBLEPOST=1607746056][/DOUBLEPOST]
That will be the 11 only charge being Saha for Pant.
I prefer Pant over Saha. Pant has done well before in Australia and his last series was good, no point removing a player who was doing good in this format.

Gill is so pleasing to eyes. Looks very composed & calm and has a very stable technique as well.

The way he has been leaving the ball, that pull shot wow! Even Agarwal has struggled a bit in comparison. Waiting for his 50 before going to bed.

Alright, off to sleep. Hoping to see a Gill 100. ALso hoping the management does good to him and sense prevail. I do not want to see KL Rahul or Rohit opening when you have designated openers in the team in Gill, Shaw and Agarwal. Let Gill and Agarwal open and if anyone fails, let Rohit or KL take over.

Wildermuth conceded less than 2 runs an over in the 1st innings with figures of 3/13 in 8 overs and now he is going at 4.10 runs per over conceding 41 in 10 overs. Impact of a good lead that I guess. I don't know why didn't Gill open in the 2nd innings after he looked so composed in the 1st innings. Mayank should've batted down the order since he is sure to play as an Opener in the 1st Test. Could've had Shaw and Gill to open and see who did better at that spot.

Ok so we finally got something special to see from Rishabh Pant. It was an absolute gem of an innings and it was very much like the Rishabh Pant we have seen in the past. It feels good to see him back at his best.
