Our 6th bowling option problem will always be there until Pandya starts bowling. It's very frustrating to see this as his batting has finally become good enough to bat him in the top 6, but now that he is not bowling, it just messes up the team's balance. We don't have a back-up all-rounder who is good enough. Both Vijay Shankar and Shivam Dube are good options but don't inspire as much confidence as Hardik does.
I don't see Saini being effective on the surface that we played in the first ODI. There was nothing in the pitch, and his hit the deck bowling won't be ideal. I won't mind if we try Natarajan. He offers variety with his left arm bowling and can be a good option in the death overs with his yorker and slower ball. I just don't want to see Shardul Thakur in the final 11. Chahal had a bad game, but I still don't mind him keeping his place in the final 11 unless he is injured. If he is injured, Kuldeep comes in place of him.
I am always confused about Jadeja's position in the final 11, especially overseas. His batting doesn't always click, and his bowling is defensive and predictable in white-ball format.
