India tour of England 2018

Congratulation rahane for 3 scores of 50 in 4 innings at Rose bowl (Ageas bowl)

we are number one even England win by

3/2
5/0
4/1
..Cong.ECB for 3/1 in Close series so far.[DOUBLEPOST=1535943381][/DOUBLEPOST]Vihari is number 3 or middle order player so I think Shaw and Nair might makes it at Oval and Vihari will debut on Oct 4th test at home.

Pandya's dismissal was expected. I have no faith in his batting abilities. I hope this doesn't spill into a domino effect with wickets tumbling.

Pant should play true to his style. That 0 off 29 in the first innings is unlike him and now he should knock off 40-50 runs quickly and have Rahane keeping the bowlers at bay. If this could happen, I don't see how India couldn't sneak away with a W.
Its far more better to includes Jadeja than Pandya because he was among runs just like rahane in last series.I doubt Butler/Curran can add 69+46 way too many runs if jadeja
Present and exploits those rough spots + minimize ecb's score.we might win test by 3/4 wickets.

@asprin this prophecy could yet still be fulfilled on all counts :p
Yeh, congratulations on the series win. Well played England. We literally gifted you this series :p but yeh, well played.

Now, can you give poor @AliB his vCash back as consolation?

No you were simply outplayed by the better team:p

He hasn’t spent the cash I gave him back originally yet !!

Can anyone give any insight into why Ravi Shastri is being branded as a so-called 'cunning chutiya'? :p As far as I know he has quite a cosy relationship with Kohli which probably played into him getting the job in the first place?

Inspite of Kohli's leadership, India are the better team. I'm not talking about a specific set of conditions but more in an overall scheme of things. I think England have more potential as a team but like India, they keep chopping and changing. One think India has that England don't is a captain who is making runs like having breakfast.

So we are not allowed to Bask in the glory that we beat the number one side? Of course they are better and should be better thats why they are number one. All this talk of India gifting us the series.....load of bovine excrement. There was luck on both sides and failures on both sides: we dealt with both better. Get over it. Amen.

Agree totally. England were better team this series . Big difference to saying better team overall

Sam Curran won the series for England, man of the series.

But, but.....we did gift away the series.....on a silver platter.

The final series for Cook, he had a good run.

First of all, who in their right mind would take those ICC rankings seriously? Personally, I don't give a toss about them.

Second, England played the big moments better than India. They were the better team under pressure and handled adversity far better than India. A deserved series win in my opinion.

But, is this one of the better English sides we've played? Absolutely not. I think the batting is almost non existent at the top. Joe Root to me looks extremely average when pitched against Kohli. The two seamers are definitely ageing now and you can see it. Anderson's skills mask his pace deficiency and while if we make a World XI today he would be one of the first seamers on the list there's no doubt that 2 at best 3 years the sun will set. Stuart Broad is like our Ravi Ashwin. Give him a pitch and he looks like Malcolm Marshall and the moment you take the conditions out of it he looks very very mediocre.

One thing England have that no other country does or can dream of is 5/6 multi dimensional cricketers who can do two facets of the game, one as good as another. I think and hope that before the next Ashes they can sort out the top order because the reliance on these blokes is incredible.

So, well played England and very well deserved. Congrats to the fans but this Indian side has played way under par and if they had played to their potential they could have not just won the series but won it 4-1 or 3-2/3-1.
