India tour of England 2018

I dare you to go into Indian dressing room and say that :lol:lol
Oh definitely, I can go in and say WTF is Shastri doing, and few peoples place is really questionable in the side. In the hopes of getting Kallis we got Pandya and now we will be stuck with him. KL Rahul, Dhawan, Pandya all three should be questioned .

Need 119 with 6 wickets in hand - Rahane, Pandya, Pant and Ashwin.. very tough road ahead but if we persist we will chase this down.

And just so Kohli is out I don't think our chances are zero like our friends here who have this zero hope in the team and keep changing their stance along with over the top criticism and negative thinking, don't want to offend anyone but I believe in our team we have immense potential and skill. Never lose hope!
I am one of them and I only believe that Rahane will play out well but I knew Hardik was wicket that was waiting to happen. If Ashwin would have been fit I would have a little more faith but he is at 50%. OPENERS although have failed for both teams, only judging my team and we need better. We have struggled series after series in terms of opening. Next test series is against West Indies at home so KL Rahul and Dhawan will score billion runs but back in Australia will be sitting wickets.

I was thinking about it ..

We have one Pandya whom we keep forcing to turn up and do something special

And on the other side the England team has Stokes, Woakes, Moeen and of course Curran. An unending stream of top class all rounders who regularly steal the show

So envious of them

PS : if not top class then atleast miles better than.Pandya in all aspects of cricket

Pandya's dismissal was expected. I have no faith in his batting abilities. I hope this doesn't spill into a domino effect with wickets tumbling.

Pant should play true to his style. That 0 off 29 in the first innings is unlike him and now he should knock off 40-50 runs quickly and have Rahane keeping the bowlers at bay. If this could happen, I don't see how India couldn't sneak away with a W.

Another one of those close run chases where India might just end up being short ? or will they cross the line this time around ?

Looks like India will end up well short. Ash is batting at 50% and there's no one that can score quick runs here. Pant gone now too.

It was fun while it lasted. India need better openers than Dhawan and Rahul. I hate to say that about Rahul as he is such a talent. Feel like pulling out my hair here.

The game was gone when we lost Pant. Pandya as a test batsman is a joke. I repeat again that we are fooling around with the No.6 position in tests. Thats a slot where batsmen control the game from. Thats the slot where guys like Laxman and Damien Martyn have rescued games so often in the past. You cannot go into a test match without a genuine batsman at No.6. How long will it take for us to realize this fact? Pandya got wickets at Nottingham and credit to him for that. However, there is nothing to suggest that he is a bankable option with bat or ball. Him at No.6 puts immense pressure on the only 3 batsmen we have in Pujara, Kohli and Rahane. There is nothing before them in the lineup and nothing to follow them. This shows in the way they are batting as well.

That 5 wicket haul for Pandya at Trent Bridge is going to hurt India for quite sometime.

Another series lost! Same old story! :(

This is just painful. Another close match and again we end up on the losing side. Now that we finally have a decent bowling attack, our batsmen apart from Kohli has gone missing.

It’s just that Moeen has the ‘Indian sign’ over your team :p

Sam Curran's innings which I've been bitching about from Day 1 will be the difference. I love how people say that we would have taken 246 at the start of the day. What sort of logic is that?

That No.6 slot needa fixing according to me. A reliable batsman there will free up Rahane and Pujara. We are entering test matches with just 3 batsmen effectively. This bravado has to stop at some point.[DOUBLEPOST=1535904279][/DOUBLEPOST]This will hurt and it will hurt more because this series could have so easily been in our favor. Tactical blunders, poor application and above all our inability to polish off the tail keep haunting us. Nothing changes in Indian cricket.

This test could be another Edgbaston Ashes 05 .....

Remove Hardik Pandya get in Hanuman Vihari for the last test, remove Shikhar Dhawan and give Prithvi Shaw a chance. We might as well loose 4-1 no harm in giving youngsters a chance.

1. KL Rahul/Dhawan
2. Prithvi Shaw
3. Chesteshwar Pujara
4. Virat Kohli
5. Ajinkya Rahane
6. H Vihari
7. Rishabh Pant
8. Ashwin/Jadeja
9. Shami
10. Sharma
11. Bumrah/Yadav

I am pretty sure Shaw will not do more bad then what Rahul/Dhawan have performed.
