To be fair to Pant, 25 of those 30 byes were due to poor bowling. I think he has been fairly good.

The way India counter Moeen might be the key here. They played him very badly in the first innings and will be an even bigger threat than Ashwin because of fitness. Ash didn't seem 100% fit, but England played him very well I felt. Stokes and Buttler's partnership was significant, they countered Ashwin quite well while the ball was turning quite a lot. They played him responsibly and wore him down well. Stokes in particular played smartly, wearing down the bowlers and Buttler was able to get runs from the other end.

I'd say 85-15 chance for England. India will only win if the batsmen play smartly and play Moeen well.

Until Kohli is there, the game is still in India's hand. Rahane doing a great job to provide support and getting his eye in. It is a pretty well-poised game at the moment.
