India need to find an answer to Jamie Smith- he is quickly becoming a thorn in their path. The problem for India also is that Jamie Smith bats in the lower order; given his current scoring, he can add 100-150 runs with the tail. Those are ominous signs when you have them on the mat at say, 90/5 and Smith takes the games away.
From an Indian bowling perspective, while we managed the wickets without Jasprit, it is still a matter of concern that you lead spinner isnt able to make inroads. Jadeja's batting might have saved him for Lord's but a deeper introspection is the need of the hour. We can't have him ambling in, rolling his arm over and then doing it all over again, without any substantial return. I am well aware that his replacements might not fare any better; I am willing to take this risk as opposed to extending the already longer rope for Jadeja (read:noose for Kuldeep/other spinners).
