India tour of Ireland (2 T20Is) & England (1 Test, 3 ODIs & 3 T20Is)

Stokes for me has often been the player to break a key partnership with the ball or be at one end of a match changing partnership with the bat somehow. I’d love to see a statistical analysis that shows how often he does make an impact in this manner. Maybe get one of Cricinfo’s numerous blokes on it. Could market it as Big Impact or something.
They already have Smart Stats and Total Impact as advanced statistics, so they could definitely do an advanced analysis through them.

Does this short ball plan ever really work better against the tail than just bowling your best ball? Asitha Fernando did a great job against Australia's tail and he didn't need to drop short at any point

I could just feel for Alex Lees there. Started off well against Bumrah and he faces a no-ball which resulted in him facing an extra delivery which resulted in an unplayable ball to lose his wicket. The Indian skipper gets it right!!

Yeah, that’s a bit of an oddity, considering he wouldn’t have been out in a LOs game. But I would still keep the rules like this in Tests, no free hits and no strict leg-side wides.

All calculated by our supreme Bumrah. :spy

Do England have any openers capable of scoring more than 20?

I know it's too early to judge, however,

Bumrah is setting a right example by leading from the front both with the bat as well as bowl. And that is delighting to watch from an Indian Cricket Fan POV.

Really hope this guy gets to lead India ahead when Rohit calls it a day. This man has got the talent as well as the smarts to execute it. The man is of calibre. Would be pleasent to see someone like him going out for toss rather than likes of Rahul, Pandya and Pant.
