India tour of Ireland (2 T20Is) & England (1 Test, 3 ODIs & 3 T20Is)

Can we please get Root dismissed please? His presence in the middle makes me nervy..

Great first signs for Bumrah as captain. Liked his field placements, was really aggressive and looked like he didn't give an f about the whole Bazball thing. Had five slips for a while, and had a silly mid on and short midwicket to Bairstow. Tied him down nicely too. Hopefully a strong victory margin can push his case as the next test captain instead of Pant and Rahul. Not to mention him setting the tone with three wickets and a cameo before that.

Would be pleasent to see someone like him going out for toss rather than likes of Rahul, Pandya and Pant.

I hope I'm wrong but I think the "who" part of the next captain is already a done deal and things seem to point to KLR. Dravid seems adamant on it.

Won't comment on Bumrah the captain yet, the signs are promising but let's wait and watch.

On the match, couldn't have hoped for a better end to day 2. In the driver's seat now we are. Hope we don't squander away the advantage by getting dismissed for 100 odd in the 2nd innings.

India never lost a Test match after getting a 200+ lead. So if we dismiss them under 200 we will have done most of the work.

Still a long way to go in this test match.

If Bairstow - Stokes gets going with this whole new bazball - dragon ballz the game could get very exciting to watch.

Indian fans on social media are being really toxic towards the English team and their fans. This is not a good sight tbh!

Also I do believe New Zealand had a stronger bowling attack than that of India's but they missed a couple of them in the series against England. And the pitch in this game seems to had a bit more of a life than the ones were offered to New Zealand.

Don't forget Sam Billings is there too Indian Fans.

Two of England's best batsmen in recent times are out in the middle. I wouldn't be jumping the gun and start thinking about lead yet. Also, let's not forget India's ability to lose steam after having the opposition 5 down. Such instances have been far too many to count.

Things are about to get real now.
