Wow, Virender Sehwag take a bow. I have one question, A lot of people in this thread are saying that the pitch is flat, If the pitch is so flat then why did NZ only get 270?

Sehwag :hpraise

You'd think with all the buckets of rain, at least one groundsman in NZ somewhere would have laid a greentop.

It's very tough for NZ bowlers to stop me - Sehwag
An interview with sehwag.Lol,this man has real courage and shows great character, both on and off the field.
Im liking this paragraph very much
So you try and slow things down. If you are Daniel Vettori, the canniest left-arm spinner in the world, you get some respect, and even get a forward defensive stroke. But soon enough Sehwag jumps down the track, is beaten in the flight, but still lofts you over long-off to get to his century. And later he says: "That was a mistimed six, the only mis-hit."

OMG SEHWAG!!! :hpraise :hpraise :hpraise :hpraise :hpraise :hpraise

He should be no.1, seriously. Every single bowler in the NZ camp is now scared out of their wits. He comes, he hits.

Awesome.

Good win, glad to see Gambhir and Sehwag opening again, they bring the best out in each other.

Brilliant batting by Sehwag. He is in full touch at the moment. Even if The bowlers bowls good, it goes for a six. Nice to see India winning the series. Keep up the glad work lads.

Take a bow Viru, I hope that he can continue this form in the Test series.

Glad work :p? What's that :p?

This is certainly very confusing. Sachin, Gambhir and Sehwag all play best as openers.

Gee I feel for the NZ bowlers. To be honest I think everyone saw it coming especially since this time the series was given good cricket wickets instead of green pancakes. There just isn't enough firepower in the NZ bowling to get a side out unless batsmen commit hari kari. Vettori is the only class act and I don't care what rankings say Mills is just not someone who can run through a side. There's just too much similarity in the NZ attack with everyone being in the 130-135k pace range. With a batting line up like this good line and length is not going to get you anywhere. What NZ really lack is a genuine pace bowler ala Bond which could get Sehwag and co hopping around. Then again it could easily go the other way with the extra pace on the ball!!

India on the other hand have so many riches when it comes to bowling. Ishant Sharma seems a bit rusty atm but can be expected since he did have a few games off. Watch out for the tests.. With harbhajan and also the classy mishra lots of options in the spin department too. Martin needs to get back into the side if just for his pace and experience. I don't see how NZ is going to get 20 wickets to win a test match with the Indian top 6 but their going to need some help with some sporting pitches.

270 off 47 overs is basically 300 off 50 which is a good score. Some of the shots Sehwag played across the line and off good lengh balls showed how good the pitch was. NZ would have made moe runs if our middle order didn't collapse once again.

I hope Sehwag can sustain this patch in the Tests. Last time he was the only batsmen on either side to score a century (on those greentops) and he had scored 2, but he failed in the Tests. I think the Kiwis need to swallow the pill and build greentops for the Tests.

Ishant and Zaheer may cause trouble, but I think Sehwag can take the game away much quicker if given flat decks. New Zealand's best chance to win is going to be in the low-scoring contests that a greentop would throw up.

LOL, that sentence reminded me of a mate of mine, after every knock, he'd say "I would have scored more if I didn't get out". Well, obviously PAL?!

I hope they do pull out the green tops now it is our only chance. Hamilton and Napier are way to flat and there is no way we will get 20 Indian wickets on those tracks. Napier is particularly bad and I don't think we should host tests there unless it is more sporting for bowlers.
