It's currently 118-7. The Indian fans can better swap to the Women's World Cup match of India vs Australia. India is winning there.

May be India is just time passing by loosing wickets :p 3-1 is not going to make any difference anyways.. The way Raina, Gambhir got out.. and couple of recent run outs is making me to feel that they all are hurrying up to grab the trophy soon and celebrate :D

Irresponsible cricket by India anyways!

The Kiwis are going great guns to win this now.First time in this ODI series we are getting to see a NZ domination right from the start to the end.Good match for them before the test series starts.

Phooh! Ryder departs.Ishant has the final laugh.Although a NZ victory seems to be unstoppable now.

The thing is we have become quite over-dependant on three guys- Gauti, Veeru and MSD. When they are getting out for cheap scores the whole batting line-up is collapsing as well. But these three guys are performing almost everyday- this is sort of overshadowing the different flaws our line-up has. Tell me the last time we've seen Raina, Yuvraj, Rohit or Yusuf single-handedly winning a match for India when the top-order collapsed. You'll say that England match. But in that match also Veeru scored 80. I'm not saying they are bad, it's just that they have become quite over-dependant on the three guys I mentioned.

Good win by Ryder. This match proves that India's strength is their Batting and you can't hope anything on Bowlers. Btw Sehwag was gun.

This comment is quite unfair. It is our batter's duty to give the bowlers a solid target to bowl at. 150 in more than 250 balls. I think if you send a two months old baby to the crease, even he will be able to score the runs, even if Malcom Marshall bowls at the other end.

Ok, first Test on Tuesday, here is my playing XI...

1. Virender Sehwag
2. Gautam Gambhir
3. Rahul Dravid
4. Sachin Tendulkar
5. VVS Laxman
6. Yuvraj Singh
7. MS Dhoni
8. Harbhajan Singh
9. Zaheer Khan
10. Ishant Sharma
11. Munaf Patel

Had Balaji taken more wickets in his NZ domestic game, I would have him in for Munaf.

Good win today I hope that does their confidence some good for the tests. Today was more typical NZ conditions with some swing early on and some small seam movement as well a few of the Indian batsman seemed to struggle with that I hope the test conditions are similar.

My XI for the first test:

1: McIntosh
2: Guptill
3: Flynn
4: Taylor
5: Ryder
6: Franklin
7: McCullum
8: Vettori
9: Patel / Mills
10: O'Brien
11: Martin

Patel plays if it is a flat track like it was in the ODI otherwise if it is a bit green use Mills.

NZ's batting got a lot stronger after players like Ryder, Guptill, Broom and Elliot got into the side but unfortuately their bowlers are not that impressive. They really need to get Bond back to open the bowling along with Mills.

Well India do really well in flat pitches by getting near 400 mark batting first and even if they bowl first no matter how big the target is they can chase it down. They face problems whenever they play on bowler friendly pitches, Sehwag always likes to go bang bang from the very first delivery which is not a bad thing because it works for him but I think other batsmen should not follow him. They need to try and push the ball gently for singles and two's rather than coming down the track or hitting the ball hard like we've seen from Dhoni and Pathan today.

Yeah...Medium pacer who is likely to get slapped if he bowls tomorrow.

He's a batsman. Ryder can bowl as can Elliot. Easy to say it now, but Ryder bowled bloody well! Didn't need Thompson leaking runs.

Great performance by the black caps. They finally played closer to their potential. That was an absolute thrashing! We got one back on India, HORRAY!

Onto the tests. I'll be happy if we get 1 win. That's all I can hope for.
