Why do umpires nearly always offer the light on the 5th ball of an over? Why the 5th? Why not just let the bowler finish the over so it doesn't stuff up the captain's plans for the next morning.

Interesting test match here, India are on top, I think they were right to bat steadily/slowly, being bowled out for 320 would have let New Zealand right back into the game. There is plenty of time left to force a result.

Tendulkar is just....too good. Hope he gets another 100 here and I think Yuvraj, Dhoni, Harby n co should be able to add a 100 runs between them. Fingers crossed we have at least a 100 lead.

A century by Tendulkar could be a real moral-booster for the entire team, let alone himself. He surely will get there if he bats till about lunch tomorrow.
After that maybe, I'd want Dhoni coming up and playing an all-out innings like the one he played against Australia. If the wickets keep falling then surely he'll drop anchor ....
But someone like Yuvraj on the other end ...... they both can tear the attack apart.....

Depends on the start tomorrow.:happy

Take that all Dravid haters. He was the old Dravid today.

He played at a slow strike rate? He's always played that way and he accelerated a little more as his innings went on.

He just kept nurdling the bowlers around? 72.7% of his runs came from boundaries (48/66 runs)

I'm disappointed he didn't go on to get the ton but I'll take this. He didn't show an ounce of nervousness.

We can't expect Yuvraj and Dhoni to attack immediately as soon as they come. They need to settle down and get used to the conditions.. Tomorrow I am hoping that India will get better than they did today and they should bowl atleast 20 overs tom trying to take couple of Kiwi men with lead of 300..

Oh am i too much optimistic.. Lets see how Indians bat first :p

Yeah I was impressed with Dravid actually. Looked slightly dodgy at first but once he got going, he was in smooth flow. He even hit some classic shots and they showed them in slow motion (the super slow mo ones) and he middled them perfectly.

Hopefully Tendya gets his century and Yuvi king of sixes finds some form here!

Hmm...I'm getting up in the morning at 3:00 to watch the game. It's so damn interesting

This is a brilliantly evenly poised contest. India will go in with a lead, it is just a matter of how many. I feel that 100 will be sufficient to secure the game, providing the Indian bowlers bowl as well as in the first innings.

Just have a feeling that Yuvraj will either explode on the Kiwi bowlers early tomorrow morning or get owned hard.

You don't say? That is the story of Yuvraj -- Get owned or own them.

Tendulkars on song.

Leggie added 20 Minutes and 28 Seconds later...

What was that from Yuvraj?! :noway

Owned hard it is then........:D Nice to see Sachin playing at his best, he really is a brilliant batsman to watch when in full flow. What a player. Tendulkar > Ponting!

Quite surprised, I must say. Unusual for Tendulkar to come out all guns blazing first thing in the morning.
