The last period of yesterday ruined the day for us. India got pretty lucky, let's face it. The bowlers needed to give the yorkers and bouncers more to give them something to think about. Not great bowling. Plus Vettori never bowled Franklin nor himself at them.

Vettori is in horrible form with the ball. I know he's just become a dad and stuff, but he's been horrible. At least he can bat.

Seeing NZ's openers, I think we might be in for a long day on the field!

Whohooooo.... Jesse Ryder GONE FOR 3!!!! Thats a huge huge wicket for India considering the form that he has been in. ZAK ON FIRE!!! 4 wickets out of the four that has fallen so far.

India ROCK! Keep it on, Zak! Keep it on, Dhoni! We need to bat again tonight.

Edit: What happened guys? No one interested! India right on top of this test match. THE DHONI INFLUENCE!! NZ are 138/7 and looking down the barrel badly.

And here is the eight wicket. Southee is out and Zaheer Khan gets his fifth wicket. New Zealand need 16 runs to avoid the follow on after that four of McCullum.

McCullum isn't protecting O'Brien. This is the second time in two overs that McCullum has taken a single on the first ball of the over.

India is back on the track again. We have packed the Kiwis under 200. Now what we need is a good start by our openers. Get the lead past 400, and then declare. Then again Zaheer music. Ooo boy, what a test!

DID YOU SEE MARTIN'S FOUR!!!!

It was amazing.

It's just the 2nd day of the test (almost stumps) and the both the 1st innings are wrapped

Zaheer's 7th 5 wicket haul :clap

Over-appealing must be annoying, but the same man covered up half the NZ team :D

Sehwag gone, Dravid in .

so, you mean to say that zaheer is bowling a brilliant spell just because
dhoni is back in the team ??

I didnt mean that, and you must be knowing what I meant... The side completely changes in their body language when Dhoni comes back as captain. HE HAS SOME KIND OF A STRONG INFLUENCE! Last match when he wasnt captain, we saw the huge dip in our performance. We had to save the test. Now he is back, and we almost pushed NZ to follow-on.

Great performance from India! What I wanted! Would be funny to read what Ian O Brien has to say in his blog (he wanted to put his feet up and relax while his batters bat days out). India should ideally get to a lead of 450 and declare. If they lose from there, its fully their own fault.

India has played wonderful cricket through out this tour. They have shown the ability to be the best Test team in the world. They way they fought back in the secong test and again in the first inning of this test, shows that India are now top contenders for Australia's no. 1 spot. I put my money on India to get there rather soon. They have a huge chance of winning this one 2-0. I think they are on 3rd spot in test ranking. I wonder what 2-0 will mean for their ranking. Will they get to no. 2

Whdecks.at a poor day for New Zealand, actually it is worse then poor it was horrible. The batting was just so bad, McIntosh better not play for us again because his technique is rubbish, we need another opener. Ryder played a horrible shot to get out on, and why has he switched over to Grey Nicholls during a test series?

Franklin isn't a international number six either, McCullum and Vettori should both be ahead of him. But I think the real reason we were so poor is the fact we were chasing so many. India should not of got 379, we should of had them for atleast 250-270. Tim Southee also looks bad, his bowling action has changed so much since last year. I think it's time NZ brang in Mitchell McCleanghan, we need someone who can fire the ball down at 145+ and we should also bring in Kane Williamson. The kid has real talent, and I don't see the point of him playing domestic cricket in New Zealand for the next two years playing medium-pacers, and playing on flat-decks.

This is why we're so low in rankings. Despite having promise we're inconsistent and are prone to collapse.

Game over, series over.
