What a finish! Absolutely awesome! The tail enders have surpassed expectations and have batted magnificiently. Ishant is known to bat like this but Munaf rode some fortune and also shocked with some of those 'batsmen type' strokes. Full credit to Harbhajan who started it all with Dhoni (the charm guy again WORKS!!!)

India's day it was! If we can get to 400 tomorrow, it would be a real bonus. I felt NZ played that last hour as if they had detached their brain off their body. Unbelievable how they could give such easy runs to India after having us on the mat

Lots of action. Runs. Wickets. And more runs. And India finish with 375. India were asked to bat and rattled along at a fine pace before O'Brien turned things around for New Zealand with some disciplined line and length bowling. Then India surged ahead again with Tendulkar playing a busy little innings. New Zealand roared back to pick a flurry of wickets to peg India to 204 for 6. But Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, and Zaheer Khan charged India to a strong finish. Join us tomorrow for more action from this final Test.

Two of the failures today. Laxman can be forgiven because he has consistently played great innings overseas. But Yuvraj gives false promises (to yours truly included) and then fails when it matters. Seriously he needs to be replaced for the next series abroad (Badri, Pujara, Raina all are more talented and superior to him)

After India crumpled to 6/204, they've gotten out of gaol. Even if they don't make it to 400, NZ will have to work very hard to make a worthwhile first innings lead. Not a lot of pressure on India.

I wouldn't read to much into that 319 being average at the Basin normally the pitch is a lot more green. I think just over 400 is par probably around 420-430 it is fairly flat with a tiny bit of help for the bowlers I think day 2 and 3 it should be at its best. Having said that NZ still once in awhile have massive batting collapses so what India have right now might be very good.

Looking forward to tomorrow, today was great over 350 runs and 9 wickets what entertainment.
