Zak, the Indian 'all-rounder'! :p

It'll be good to get 350-400 here. How is the pitch? I'm following the match on cricinfo. New ball takes, hopefully we'll see a flurry of runs!

The pitch has eased out to be very good for batting now, but again there is that little bit of movement and the bounce off the wicket is pretty good too (much better than the previous wicket). So considering all that, its been a sub-par effort from India. But Harbhajan is taking risks and its paying off. This guy amazes me at times with his batting. He has become a far better and reliable batsman in test matches in recent times. He has scored runs against Australia in Australia. He can also stay in there in tough conditions.

Zaheer can bat too. If India get to 350 and above, I would say that they have just stepped above the average. I am waiting to see how Zaheer, Ishant and Harbhajan bowl on this wicket. Would be very interesting to watch. It was a good decision by Vettori to bowl first and use up the initial moisture. The second new ball is having lesser swing than the first new ball.

Edit: Very good innings from Harbhajan (considering his stature and the time when he came in) comes to an end!!! Hope Zak can still take us to 350. Ishant can hang in there. Come on guys!!

Max 330 for India now. I can't see Ishant or Munaf scoring more than 10 runs each.

Seeing the way Zak batted that over, its 329 now and we could get 340+.

The average first innings score at this ground is 318 and we are 11 runs past that now. Come on INdia!!! This is exciting!

Don't get too excited Sai, probably tomorrow we will see Ryder and Taylor both getting big hundreds and NZ getting a huge 200 run lead. :D

Zak is killing New Zealand now.... 4 consecutive fours and a 2 where Vettori tried to catch it... This is heart pounding excitement (for Indian fans atleast)

Edit: Zak GONE!!!! But he has done his job in superb fashion! Awesome!!!!

After seeing that catch and many others this series, can anyone still argue with me that McCullum ISN'T the best gloveman in international cricket?

I have a hunch that tomorrow will be the day when the law of averages catches up with Ryder.

Sachin!!! :( The way he looked.. he was definitely set for a ton.. My heart was beating fast when he was continuously missing the upper cut shots after the successful first one. The way he batted.. wow, AMAZING!

160, 49, 50+, 62.. (Especially this stats to Ben, who said Sachin doesnt know to play PACE )What a series this little master is having! :hpraise I was waiting for that century knock but unfortunately he was softly dismissed!

  1. Why are they having Yuvraj in the team still?
  2. Why are they having Munaf in the team still?
