Yeah Jesse Ryder has been dominating us this entire series. It almost seems like our bowlers don't know how to get him out really. In the tests so far he has only gotten out after reaching a milestone and playing a rash shot (excluding the Bhaji delivery). When he's out there he just doesn't look like getting out!

Seeing the form Sehwag has been in recent times, you would be absolutely stupid and terribly harsh if you ask for him to be dropped. After his comeback (last year), he has been a changed batsman in all formats. He has forged a great partnership with Gambhir that is now being called arguably as the world's best. He has scored runs overseas in recent times and has helped India win tests abroad. Captaincy clearly affected his game at Napier and the comeback of Dhoni will help him quite a bit.

I would drop Munaf Patel and bring back Balaji. I know some hate Balaji, but seeing the way Munaf plays his game, even I would go out there and manage to bowl something rather than see Munaf play cricket. Its laughable! Two changes for Basin - Dhoni for Karthik, and Balaji for Munaf.

Surprised they dropped Patel for Southee. By the looks of the pitch we must bowl well today or chance of a victory is gone, big gamble.

A big, quickfire hundred coming here for Sehwag. That six over cover off Southee was glorious!

You'd have thought Southee would have realised that the top of off-stump is the place to bowl! The few balls hes bowled there to Sehwag have been blocked. Giving a class player like Sehwag that much width is just asking for punishment, have to wait and see how he adjusts, I hope he doesn't turn to just banging it in short.

Stupid gamble. We could have beaten India last game if the pitch hadn't died and become too good, Wellington shouldn't do the same. Patel being dropped is a disgrace. If Southee was going to come in it should have been for Franklin. Patel took a five wicket bag I believe in Wellington first innings about a week ago in domestic.

Of all the dumb toss decisions we've mad ein the last decade this takes the cake. What were you thinking? Unbelievable.

So far I don't understand why Southee is playing. Currently he has been hit for 40 runs of his 6 overs.

The way he is going, Sehwag could get a century before lunch.

Wow Franklin finally takes a wicket, good on the NZ selectors for keeping the faith in him. Southee hasn't had a good run since his Test match in Brisbane against us.

On the news yesterday Vettori said he wanted to win the toss and bowl, take 20 wickets and square up the test series.

Good session for India! Would easily say we won it since we have more than 100 runs and we have Dravid and Tendulkar in, with Yuvraj, Laxman and Dhoni to come. This looks like a beautiful batting track but would be better than Napier where the bowlers can get rewards if they put in more effort.

Cant understand why Munaf is persisted with. Waste of a guy! Amit Mishra would have been a better option on this wicket (I said Balaji yesterday thinking that the wicket would be a little greenish).

Edit: Very entertaining innings from Tendulkar! Super duper knock so far! He is batting as he used to do in the 90's. He has got into that zone. Pity NZ!

India beginning to look shaky now Tendulkar is out of the equation; Dravid and Laxman will have to build something.

Laxman also gone! Had that not been a no-ball from Franklin, Dravid would also have been back in the hut and it would have been big trouble for India. NZ are on top! Yuvraj and Dravid got to put up a partnership now.
