Indian Premier League - General Discussion

I am a bit worried about the resurgence of cases in UAE, hopefully this does not jeopardize the progress made so far.

Umesh Yadav too.
He is actually a good bowler. He had a poor IPL last season but he was also RCB's best bowler in 2018 IPL as he took the most wickets(20) for them with an economy of just under 8. I am pretty sure he would have a better season this year.

It was funny how Kohli finally figured out the best way to use Umesh throughout the course of the 2018 IPL as a powerplay specialist only to abandon it in the very next season.

Maybe he is suffering from long term memory loss. The guy doesn't remember the last bilateral series and to expect him to remember the last season is like a dream. :p
He has all the ingredients in the book to succeed as captain yet he tries strange things for some unknown reasons. If Kohli is more like himself rather than being someone else he is likely to do better. He is too much dependent on his senior players and the coaches and that is why he messes up the things.

Is it really wise to have crowd in, even at 30% capacity. All you need is one small cluster of cases for chaos to ensue.

Inspite of all the "arrangements"? Time to call off the event?
Calling off the tournament would be a knee-jerk reaction. 10 Pakistani players also tested positive but we flew to England and played them. These players should be fine as well, given that they stay under strict quarantine.

What is more important though is, is it really that biosecure as the one England made? I doubt that because they're staying in private and different hotels. Any waiter, room service guy, attendant could have spread the virus to CSK players.

BCCI needs to investigate this seriously and consider having all the teams in 2-3 hotels, instead of 8 different hotels.

It was only ten players, at least it wasn't onety one.
So close.....

A slightly different case, don't you think so? This involves multiple teams = more players = more staff = higher chances.

I agree though that the tournament will probably be not canceled given that there's still time for the players to recover if I'm not wrong. But one wonders if the current precautions in place did not help in avoiding infection, who is to say it won't happen again and with a larger audience at play?
