Indian Premier League - General Discussion

KXIP should have keep Maxwell in the today's match too and Arshadeep too...

There definitely is the argument for having Maxi in there given how Neesham has barely played cricket in the last few months after all. If you wanted to drop the former you should have done it halfway through the season instead of using him until the final crucial game of the season. Arshdeep is probably very unlucky I guess, Hooda would have been the man to be dropped in place of Mayank normally and he has been their best batsman today.

Brett Lee also thinks that Neesham doesn't look completely fit. Will be interesting to see his spell of bowling today.

I don't like seeing Curran being underbowled for the majority of the second half of this season. 2 overs today was too less from him.

After underperforming for SRH for years (nearly 50 games and barely did nothing of note), Hooda has come in clutch for Punjab this season. Pretty unreal innings today.

All I remember of him for SRH is that he was the goto fielder at long on for SRH... Played specially for that role :p

Especially Maxi given crucial overs in powerplay with bowling and Arshadeep also doing great for KXIP... He is most impressive young Indian player played this season along with Paddikal and Karthik Tyagi...

CSK are doing pretty well at the moment but why do I feel that the innings from Hooda will do it for KXIP?

I see them chasing it in less than 16 overs.

One last controversy to cap off KXIP's season although Mandeep grounded the ball pretty clearly in the end.

This is what I don't understand. It's the third umpire who has given the decision. Why would you go and hound the on-field umpire for that? It wasn't he who made the decision. Going by what I saw, it did seem like the ball was grounded.

Just accept and move on.

Bit petty from Rahul to mock the third umpire after that catch and after the arguments he had after the not out too. Seems clear where his inspiration is from though.

Perils of a makeshift wicket-keeper. Rahul probably dropped any chance that KXIP had of winning.

Ruthuraj scored hattrik fifties... CSK should have given him his natural position when he played first game for them... Hope he will continue opening for CSK in coming seasons...[DOUBLEPOST=1604237088][/DOUBLEPOST]CSK definitely not ends this season with wooden spoon... KXIP or KKR will take 8th position...

3 back to back 50’s for Gaikwad, 3 back to back win for CSK. Also good on Dhoni clarifying ahead of time that he is going to be around next season.

Thank you CSK for giving us KKR a slight chance. Now fate in our hand as well as Mumbai Indians.

I am worried Mumbai might just loose due to the fact that they are playing in Sharjah and we saw how dominant SRH were on the slow pitch. However MI’s bowling is better compared to RCB.
