Looks like teams are being somewhat deceived into batting second at Chepauk thinking the pitch would settle later on/dew. RCB very nearly lost the first game, had it not been for ABD's brilliance at the backend, KKR and SRH messing up their straightforward chases. Both SRH and KKR lacked someone who could hold one end and do a job ABD did. It would be a stretch to blame the pitch, just both teams lacked application in finishing the job.

I am surprised that people are actually making such claims. If 150 run pitch is not a competitive T20 pitch then how many runs do they expect?

I honestly love such moderate to low scoring games where both of the teams are in the game till the last ball.

Blame the pitch if teams can't improvise.

Looks like teams are being somewhat deceived into batting second at Chepauk thinking the pitch would settle later on/dew.

More like they are expecting to limit the opposition to a below par score and chase it down by proper planning which includes attacking the weaker bowlers, save wickets till then end and use the firepower at death to get through the target. I would definitely not expect dew factor on a place like Chennai where there is a lot of heat along with the dryness in the atmosphere.

Manish Pandey is the biggest waste of money in IPL History, having played four years for SRH, bagging 11.5 crores only to have won a single match for SRH.

Many idiots are barking on social media that the whole IPL is fixed. Yesterday, Ambani, and today, Mallya.

When a team scores 80 runs in the last 5 overs while chasing, they call it a thriller match. But when a team defends 30 runs in 30 balls, they call it match-fixing.

Too early to say this maybe, but SRH is proving me wrong. I thought they'd go better than last year. But they seem plagued by the same batting issues of last year. Pandey and Shankar dont inspire enough confidence, though Pandey seems to score the runs. Neither seem to be able to force the pace much and are found wanting. And SRH having the likes of Warner, Bairstow, Rashid, Holder, Nabi, etc. are finding it tough to fit in Williamson. I am surprised that they are not playing Williamson on wickets like Chepauk where his ice cool batting could carry them home.
