It's Due To Varun Cv Mi didn't qualify for the Play offs in indian league they were doing well and changed in UAE Mi went off .

Trust the Mumbai Indians to fix their gaps in the upcoming mega auction. If there is one side that knows how to pick players smartly, its Mumbai! They got a crippling Chepauk track that didn't suit them at all in the first half, and the big break in-between meant that they had to restart all over again and MI are generally not good starters. If this season had played out in one stretch, there is no way MI would've missed the playoffs.

Good silver lining is the return to form for Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav (for the T20 WC).
