Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Did Avesh Khan do a "Mushfiqur" there with that laugh after the 4th ball of the final over? :D Still think RCB are running into a red hot Kolkata at Sharjah.....

MI were crushed weren't they? :p

People were like they are out of it and SRH will win this one easy. And then MI scored 235 and eventually it proved to be too much for SRH.

Just to make a statement, good teams do run into poor run of form but that doesn't speak about their quality.

On to the other game, I followed that last over where Maxwell made it easy but Avesh Khan just bowl some good deliveries only to mess it up on the last ball. Brilliant innings and winning hit from KS Bharat!!!

IPL winner gets ₹10,00,00,000. But some people think that Mukesh Ambani whose net worth is ₹ 69,80,86,62,00,000 fix matches for that ₹10,00,00,000. :lol

The incident was blown out of proportion by that cringe king Gavaskar. Avesh was not ridiculing the batter at any stage but just laughing because he got away with a half volley. Just a sub continent thing. We expect sportsman to express themselves how we want them. Not be themselves. Story of our country where fake and plastic is revered while the original is loathed.

Just like Dhoni.

Just like Kohli.
I wonder how Dhoni gets dragged into everything. Also why people only talk about Kohli.

This is very much how a certain section of Dhoni fans used to behave where they would drag Sachin into everything and make Dhoni look better. And the same with Sachin and Dravid where they wanted to make Sachin look better.

The fact is none of the members on Planet Cricket do belong to that section. The fact is we look at every fan of a certain player with a perspective that they want to worship their favourite players and eventually we started being critical even about the things that are genuine facts.

@SaiSrini Raina is not playing today. Disappointed a tad?

Good thing is CSK have won the toss and are bowling first. That might just make them feel a little more confident since they have done well chasing totals this season than defending.

Tom Curran...not so sure about that. He has a history of going for plenty in IPL games.

No Raina is a good call but I hope they keep it that way even in the Final (should CSK reach there) or the 2nd eliminator. Sentiments should give way for results at this stage ofbthe tournament.

Not too sure about picking Tom Curran either. Bowled freebie full tosses in his last IPL game that lost Delhi the game at the backend. It looks as though DC wanted an extra bowler after Rabada went for plenty the other night.

Playing Uthappa in the middle order is a waste, given he's always done well at the top of the order. He himself claimed he wanted to play as opener before the season. Raina should've been given another chance but Dhoni does like to give the other players a chance too.

This Axar Move is reminding me of that Pawan Negi move ahead of Ross Taylor back in 2012 by the Same franchise of slightly different branding name.

They have a history of choking in the knockouts too lets see whether they can hold themselves this time around.

No one from DC made a half-century in this leg
Surprising!

And same outcome as that of Negi.

That is just way out of the Box thinking to put it up.

Can't see a winner other than CSK to be honest.

Maybe KKR can challenge them but the rest two are just perennial chokers and will once again succumb under the pressure of finals.
