CSK’s usually been looking for the mental side of things in their players.

Could be. I think the teams are probably better at scouting players these days, plenty of players who have little to no state experience have always come through.

Other thing is Magala has come into the side so they may want that additional variety. Whether it's match ups or just a left and right option if you're looking to defend on a ground that has lopsided dimensions. Although I believe Magala is injured so it may be that Hango comes back into the side now.
