Indian Tour of Sri Lanka & Triangular Series, July-August 2010

Hope to see India win this one

Ps @ sai : go to mygraphics thread

surely malinga has missed more tests than he has played since making his debut. India have an outside chance to get the back in the series here with murali and malinga being out for sl but ive got my money on a draw depending on how the pitch pans out.

and anyone heard of nuwan pradeep? apparently he can knock off 150kph

Offtopic:@Sai-those are our PCCL team's shirts, had you participated, you'd have got one.:)

Oh ok. no problem, I thought everyone could get such shirt avatars. Anyways, with the loads of graphics that are done by members here, I am planning to use them as my avatar/sig. Thanks!

On topic - Gambhir might miss tomorrow's 2nd test. He is said to be uncertain and the final call will be taken tomorrow. If he misses out, another chance for Murali Vijay to show his skills and prove that he is the guy for the longer format. Since Gambhir didnt score almost anything in the first test, wont be a huge loss.

But whats wrong with. Gambhir?? What injury?

Big day today for hope to see no rain this test match

If India is in a bad position, we all would want rain. So dont jump the gun yet.:laugh

Edit: Wow, Gambhir and Yuvraj both ruled out of the 2nd test (Yuvraj due to fever)!!! Considering that Yuvraj looked good so far in this tour with a 100 in the warmup and a 50 in the first innings of the previous test, could be a loss. Gambhir's wont be much because he hasnt looked at all in this tour. Vijay and Raina are likely to be the replacements.

I'm glad to see Raina get a go. Would have had him in ahead of Yuvraj in the first test but he didn't do too bad. What a time to get a fever.

Sri Lanka got 99 runs in 18 overs. Dilshan is just out, but what a great start of them.

From the look of if Dilshan stayed there for about 15 overs he could have got his century.

Another toss lost by Dhoni, India immediately on the backfoot. Cant see us winning this test. For me, the chance of India winning the series is now 99.5% gone. Only a miracle fro here will get us a chance to stay alive for the series win.

Cricinfo's Indian cricket wailers want Irfan back. Didnt we see the huge decline of Irfan where he lost all of his swing and pace and became a toddler. He was bowling as fast as Saurav Ganguly, and I have not heard of him doing great things right now in domestic cricket. The virus called "Venkatesh Prasad" completely destroyed us. I guess we got to start focussing on our traditional strength of spin and see if we can do anything there. India will never be a good fast bowling nation.

Give me a break, Irfan is not that bad. From what I remember, he was pretty good in the IPL. His pace..meh. What Indian bowler has pace anyways? 130kmph is good enough, plus he is a good enough batsman to bat at 7. I think we should give him a shot. He has been performing in the domestic circuit too...

We are getting mauled again. Will we bat well this time to save this test and stay alive in the series? I really hope so. How did our bowling become so pathetic very quickly? Zaheer is the only guy we miss. Sreesanth was already out of the side for long enough. Same with Ishant. Who are we going to bring in to boost our bowling?

sri lanka have changed every single bowler in their team?

0bviously murali and malinga would be there if they were available but I would have though weledegera and herath would have remained for some consistency to the team.
