Indian Tour of Sri Lanka & Triangular Series, July-August 2010

There seems to be no reverse swing either for the pacemen (not too sure whether Sharma and Mithun are capable of reversing the ball though :p) and the turn for the spinners is so slow. Funny thing is that Sehwag has been the most successful spinner here, had he not suffered that shoulder injury, India could drop Harbhajan and Ojha/Mishra to get another seamer in and get an extra batter in and Sehwag would play as a first choice spinner and opener, I think I am serious.

It's not like India pick two spinners because of conditions, they just like to block an end up.

i sense a massive score by sehwag or a another indian batting collapse is on the cards here.

Prasad getting hit around a bit by Sehwag. Not good signs for SL bowlers....

Odd strategy in play, with the bowlers basically trying to bounce both batsmen out. I can see the point, but it's not like either of them is vulnerable to anything short. I'd rather bowl fullish and wide to Sehwag, try to find the area where he thinks about leaving, but can't resist a swish.

Really a stupid pitch with nothing in for bowlers typical Sub Continent.

fearsome tweak you Sub Continent pitches

Seriously the pitch is really horrible but have a feeling that India will do something silly

Thats the reason the quality of spinners in Asia is decreasing. Pitches have become so flat that the bowlers lose confidence right from start and try to have a defensive approach.

Why would anyone in the SC ever want to become a bowler. Pathetic situation really, its batting practice, its not cricket
