I don't think sending in a nightwatchman is a good idea in this situation. sri lanka are now going to have a much better chance at getting the wickets rolling tomorrow morning and india's tail was working well as a unit, so he's broken that up.

I'll tell you that spinning and bouncing 5th day subcontinent pitch has more power in deciding the result than the mighty batting line up.
