If Tendulkar is there at lunch, India will win.
Fanstastic match though and just a shame that SLC decided to ruin the series with a horrible pitch after a 1st Test win to ensure they don't loose the series
Can we make photocopies of this pitch and paste it at grounds all over the world? Would be amazing, and test cricket would start ruling again as the popular format

Praying for a repeat of Sachin's histronics from that classic Chennai test vs England where he and Yuvraj took India through? Only difference is, there Sehwag laid the platform and here, he didnt. But still 200 odd runs needed and Sachin and the other gang (Lax, Raina, MSD) should be able to pull it off. They should play for the win. No use playing for the draw because anyway they lose the series if they draw.

I don`t think they`ll be playing for a draw anyway. If there are no weather delays, there is no way this can be a draw. The difference between Chennai 2008 and this game is that at Chennai, the target was close to 400 and India only actually looked to go for the target after that Sehwag onslaught. On the other hand, in this game, while a Sehwag blast would have just eased our way out, it was not something which was essential to actually harbor thoughts of a win.
The Chennai pitch in that game was`nt a featherbed either and India actually were 4 down with 150+ runs to get. England had a better pace attack with Flintoff, Anderson, Harmisson and with Swann as the spinner, it was`nt a bad attack. However, India were psychologically a very different side back then.

Looking intriguingly poised, I never guessed Sri Lanka would push the target over 250. At most I thought they might set 180-200.
Four early wickets had put Sri Lanka in the box seat but the fact remains all of the Indian batmsen left constitute danger men and they need to get a wicket or two fairly soon. They'd want India six down by the time the score gets to 180-200, probably seven. Partnerships of 50+ in a low run chase are so damaging, Sri Lanka managed only one and that was in fact 118

Well deserved half century for Tendulkar, They both should get centuries and guide India to a 6 wicket win.
