Indian Tour of Sri Lanka & Triangular Series, July-August 2010

Glad to see India won with the bonus point. This tournament is locked up tightly at the moment.

Regarding the Sehwag non-century, not really worth arguing about since he has already said he doesn't care about it.

Sehwag has spoken out about it. He has said that it was deliberate, that SL has already done it before with India once, and he has said that its not good cricket from Randiv.

Are people seriously thinking that its only Sri Lanka that has done this? Every country has done this at one point in time.

Oh really ? EVERY international team has done this ? Please name 5 other international teams who've done this, with examples ? If you don't know, then don't just say a blanket statement with no evidence.

Ojha should have ran himself out to stop Murali from getting 800 wickets.;) But we are too kind. :)

Very bad sportsmanship from Randiv, he isn't the sort of bloke that would do these things.

It was (supposedly) a no-ball on purpose. Not a big deal. India still won. Least he didn't lob the ball at Sehwag.

The particular law that was invoked is rather counter-intuitive, if only because the no-ball counts as a ball faced for the batsman. Usually, if a batsman can't score runs off a ball, it's because it is a wide and it doesn't count as a ball faced.

Just read on twitter that Randiv apologized to Sehwag today.

Did the the last ball count in Sehwag's account?

The last ball did count against Sehwag's numbers (he started the over with 99 off 96 and ended with 99 off 100).

The fact that Randiv bowled a no-ball on the fourth delivery suggests that it may not have been completely deliberate (although that huge overstep indicates the contrary). Whatever the case, I don't think it's a major issue. This won't be Sehwag's last hundred-ish score and in the end we got the win and the bonus point, which has gone a long way in recovering our NRR in case this series gets tight (which it looks like it may get).

Srilanka will be cursing themselves on not getting that bonus point in second match.

Srilankan middle is still the worst in all 7 top teams in odi its only top 3 for them atleast from a year or so
