I'm guessing the reason there are decent gaps between the games is because of the reserve days.
Also it's only two days off without a reserve day, so there will only be one day off before the next match now because the reserve day is being used.

Why would you want a reserve day ? Just get on with the tournament and play.
Rain is an occupational hazard in Sri Lanka. One day off makes more sense. This drags the tournament.
