I hope sri lanka only go with one spinner, if they go with 2 in the first that's understandable but definitely only 1 in the next 2. Prasad, Weledegara and Malinga is a pretty nasty attack to face, if the groundsmen have got the wickets a bit quicker india will be in a world of pain

I am guessing one of our fast bowlers will take up the challenge and do well. Either Ishant, the new boy Mithun or Munaf. When the expectations on the bowlers are completely nil, someone rises up to the task and announces himself. I am guessing it will happen here in SL. Hope it does! It would be great if its Ishant.

Can almost guarantee you that India will struggle in this first test, which is something that we tend to do especially in away series. If we manage to hold on for a draw in this test then we're in for a close series. But if we don't, expect SL to dominate.

Our bowling looks inept, while I haven't seen too much of Mithun his figures in the warm up match weren't too flash. So i'd probably expect Munaf to be in the starting XI, with the only problem being which Munaf will show up...

Ishant isn't looking too good here. He has bowled some good balls so far, but otherwise he's been too full. Paranavitana is particularly strong on the front foot. His good balls have lacked pace as well.

Mithun looks good against the right handed Dilshan, but he's just going through the motions with the left hander by angling it across him and bowling it so wide.

Dilshan survived an early LBW it seems. He can do it like Katich and grab this second chance he got.

I expected the hitting from Dilshan early on, not from Paranavitana.

Typically negative and conservative attitude going into the first test by India. I would rather go in showing intent by playing 3 seamers in the first test than just go with the 2-2 policy. Especially with Zaheer and Sree not being there. Mithun is just making his debut and it would make sense to have some cushion in the seam department by playing the 3rd seamer. Sri Lanka look all set to get a 900-odd score here as always.

Around 135kmph, pretty good for Indian standards. Finding some swing and seam too. Looks a good bowler.

Ishant Sharma: 4 overs and 29 runs. If I where Dhoni I would take him off for a while, but then again there is no fast bowling option. But he has do something and probably go for spin.

Good move by SL to take out the experienced seamer, will put a lot of pressure on Mithun and forced the spinners to come on very early.

Wow, Sharma looking like his typical crap self. The new guy is impressive though, even getting some bounce on this dead pitch. Hate the idea of 2 seamer attack, its just not cricket to me.
