Bangladesh innings - 1 to 10 overs update

Players and umpires come to field, to start the match

PIC1-65.jpg

The 2 Bangladeshi batsmen's along with the Indian team and the 2 on field umpires came to the field to start the match. Both the teams were looking high in confidence. The stadium was starting to fill up, it was not full but it was not empty either. ;)

The opening over of the match was given to Zaheer Khan, as expected! Kayes took his stance and we were all set to ROCK N ROLL! :D The 2 umpires for the match were, Simon Taufel and Billy Bowden. With everything set for the match to start, the umpire, Simon Taufel said PLAY!

Bangladesh off to a good start, 41 for no loss after 10 overs

PIC2-41.jpg

The first over of the innings was a tight one from Zaheer Khan, just 1 run came off the over. 2nd over by Praveen was again a really good one as 1 run came of that over as well. The 2 Bangladeshi batsman's safely negotiated the first 6 overs of the match. Both the batsmen's got their eyes settled in the middle and after the 6 overs the next 4 overs proved to be good one for them. After 6 overs Bangladesh score was 20/0.

6th over bowled by Praveen, proved to be expensive as 10 runs came off the over. Iqbal smashed 2 boundaries in the over and took 1 double. Next over by Zaheer was again a good one for the Bangladeshi team, 6 runs came off the over. 1 boundary by Kayes, 1 single for him and 1 single for Iqbal. Dhoni saw that the fast bowlers are proving to be expensive so he brought spinners early into the bowling attack.

Harbhajan replaced Zaheer, 2 runs came off Harbhajan's 1st over. Yusuf from the other end, replaced Praveen Kumar. 6 runs came off Yusuf's first over, 1 boundary for Iqbal and 1 double in the over. Bangladeshi team was back on track with some good overs. 10 overs were bowled and the 2 Bangladeshi batsman's Kayes and Iqbal, did well to make sure that the Bangladeshi team gets off to a good start!

BAN : 44/0 after 10 overs
Tamim Iqbal 23*(40)
Imrul Kayes 14*(27)

Harbhajan Singh 1-0-2-0
Yusuf Pathan 1-0-6-0

Steady start there, the match can go anywhere from here. If Bangladesh capitalize on their current partnership, they can wreak havoc and if India manage to bag a wicket or two they'll inject a pressure on Bangladesh. Interesting...

It's a good start from Bangladesh. Not heavily scoring, but keeping the run rate up around the 5 runs per over mark. India will be looking to make a few breakthroughs, other wise Bangladesh will get away with a 100 run partnership here, not something the Indian's would want.

Yes, that's more like it. Now that initial period is taken care of, it is time for Kayes and Tamim to show how devastating they can be. Indians are in for a nightmare!

Steady start there, it's good for Bangla that they didn't lose any wicket.
This partnership can prove dangerous.

Bangladesh innings - 11 to 25 overs update

Bangladesh loose 3 wickets, 1 wicket for Harbhajan and 2 wickets for Yusuf

PIC1-66.jpg

Imrul Kayes was out in the 12th over for 15. Kayes was trying to go for a big shot over the off side field but mistimed the ball and the ball went in the hands of MS Dhoni. Indian team finally got the 1st wicket of Bangladeshi team! The next batsman to come to bat was, Junaid Siddique.

PIC2-42.jpg

Iqbal and Siddique were not looking to be aggressive as the run rate was good. Their main aim was to, keep the scoreboard ticking. Iqbal normally looks to attack the bowlers but even he was not looking to do anything silly and loose his wicket. The run rate was not dropping because both batsmen's were rotating the strike, which was making sure that the scoreboard is ticking.

In the 22nd over, Sehwag was bowling, Siddique was looking to hit the ball straight for a single but he hit the ball straight to Iqbal! Iqbal got hit and the Bangladeshi team physio was immediately called to the field. All was good as it was not a serious injury and the match continued.

Just when Siddique was looking good for a big innings, he lost his wicket in the 23rd over. Siddique was looking to clear the mid wicket fielder but didn't succeed in it and the mid wicket fielder, Yusuf Pathan took the catch. Siddique was out for 23 runs off 45 balls.

Ashraful was the next batsman. Ashraful didn't last too long as he was back to the pavilion after making 5 off 6 balls. Ashraful was LBW out by Yusuf Pathan. Ashraful was looking disappointed with the decision, the hawk eye showed that the ball would've missed the leg stump. So, a incorrect decision from the umpire, Billy Bowden. Ashraful was out on the 2nd ball of the 25th over. Shakib Al Hasan was the next batsman! Shakib got off the mark on the 4th ball of the over, and defended the rest 3 balls of the over. 25 overs were bowled!

BAN : 111/3 after 25 overs
Tamim Iqbal : 51*(80)
Shakib Al Hasan : 2*(4)

Last Wicket : Mohammad Ashraful 5(6)
Harbhajan Singh 6-0-34-1
Yusuf Pathan 5-0-19-2

Bangladesh innings update - 26 to 37.2 overs update

Bangladeshi team all out for 158

PIC1-67.jpg

Dhoni decided to do a bowling change, Harbhajan Singh was replaced by Zaheer Khan. The change did pay off as Zaheer got the big wicket of Tamim Iqbal in the 26th over. Tamim Iqbal was plumb lbw and the umpire, Simon Taufel raised his finger. Tamim Iqbal was back to the pavilion after playing a good knock of 51 runs off 82 balls. Shakib didn't last too long as he followed Iqbal footsteps to the pavilion in the very next over. A fielder was placed at silly mid off, Virat Kohli and Shakib Al Hasan played the ball straight to Kohli. The tactic from the Indian worked and they got Shakib out for 2.

The 2 batsman now at the crease were, Mahumudullah and Rahim. But sadly for the Bangladeshi fans, Mahmudullah and Rahim didn't manage to build a good partnership as Rahim was out for 9. After that, the wickets fell like a pack of cards and the Bangladeshi team was all out for 158. Mahmudullah played a good knock of 27 but didn't got good support from the other end and was the last wicket to fall for Bangladeshi team. Bangladeshi team would surely be disappointed with this total and now there bowlers will need to do something very special to stop India from winning this match.

There is a blank field

The bowling scoreboard you have put up is for a completely different game!

Also:
"A fielder was placed at silly mid off, Virat Kohli and Shakib Al Hasan played the ball straight to Kohli." is completely wrong.

What you meant to say is: "Virat Kohli was placed at silly mid-off, and Shakib played the ball straight to him."

So apart from Iqbal, none of the Bangladesh batsman made a big influence in the scoreboard. Some good bowling from Zaheer Khan, and he'll be happy with 4-fa.

Yeah, sorry guys. I messed up the bowling scorecard.

That's a horrid update to say the least. First bowling scorecard was messed up and I can easily see some unnecessary things in batting scorecard. 2007 WT20 logo? What is that doing there? Writing is falls pretty flat as well. Disappointed!
