India's tour of Australia - December/January 2015

The momentum has massively shifted Australia`s way. We won`t even reach 400 here. Its not just the first time. We`ve lost test matches because of these bad first sessions time and again. At Durban, we collapsed from 300/5 to 330 all out. Same at Adelaide! We are too top heavy. Nohit is a waste of time. I`d rather play a bowler or Raina in his place. India can now go 2-0 down here unless someone comes up with an inspired spell.

Its so irritating to see true tailenders play defensive strokes to a spinner when the need of the hour is to score as many runs to add to the total as possible.

Psychological barrier of 400 crossed. Hope these guys keep swinging their bats.

Adi - I dont think the momentum has shifted completely to Australia. There seems to be a lot more movement out there today than it was yesterday. Ian Chappell says the same too. If our bowlers can keep it in the right places, with the pace we have in this game we can trouble them too. I would still say India are ahead although Australia has made good ground today morning.

Bad collapse but still a decent score. Channel 9 showed that Australia's average score when they bat first here is 436 so I think we have a par score but we have to bowl really well if we want win this game.

India scores 408. Why ain't nobody talking about Phil Hughes now? This is really a sort of Phil Hughes tribute series.

Sometimes, the scoreboard might tell you its a decent score but the Australians would have gone in feeling good. Thats what I meant about the momentum swinging their way. We are one session of Warner away from the game completely hanging in the balance if it has`nt already. Yadav is the key for me here. I don`t have great hopes from Ishant Sharma. Australia will either get bowled out conceding a huge lead or get to 550+ themselves. It is`nt going to be an even first innings here.

This is very surprising. They are not giving Umesh Yadav the new ball. From what I saw in the Sri Lanka home series, he bowled really well with new ball. I know they want control at the start but they could have gone with Umesh and Ishant and have Varun Aaron come as first change. They also have to be careful with no-balls.[DOUBLEPOST=1418871721][/DOUBLEPOST]And fearsome tweak this round the wicket plan.

I just don't understand the persistence with the around the wicket tactic...

"How did you pick that up?" LOL

Haha. Look at how the leader of the attack is bowling to Warner. Who came up with this round the wicket plan? Its ridiculous that we keep bowling it full and wide to Warner. Someone needs to tie him down. Warner is`nt a Dravidesque batsman who will dig in and grind you down. Ishit has started bowling his pile of usual shit now. The only way Ishit will ever get a wicket here is is the batsmen throw it away. Thats how he got his overrated 7er at Lords.

Australia might end the day at 330/3 or something with Warner getting another ton. It won`t be long before our Captain cool brings in Rohit Sharma to bowl.

Ashwin to get a 6fer today !! I called it first :spy

*my brain chuckles while i type this*[DOUBLEPOST=1418873593][/DOUBLEPOST]Yadav .. yeaaa !

WE GOT WARNER OUT.[DOUBLEPOST=1418873730][/DOUBLEPOST]TBH, I got scared when I saw Ashwin under that one but he will drop the next one.

Yeaaa Yadav......

hahaha wow. "Usay main bula loonga, tujhe udhar daalna hai toh daal le. Chaukka gaya toh tera problem hai" Dhoni to Ishant loud and clear. Moved Rohit from fine leg i think

translated: i will call him (Rohit). If you want to bowl there you can. But if the ball goes to the boundary, its your problem

Ashwin has to get wickets in this innings if we are to even draw this game. The rate at which Australia at going at this one, they would be ahead after lunch tomorrow and we would be the ones struggling to stay alive. Ishant Sharma and Rohit Sharma are both liabilities. As good as Aaron and Yadav have looked so far, we still have just 1 wicket to show for it and have conceded runs at 5 r.p.o on top of if. Ashwin has to come in here and we need some control over this run deluge.
