India's tour of Australia - December/January 2015

He got an edge to a ball that moved away, what is so pathetic about that. Ppl do get out you know.

Also when was MSD ever supposed to be a pure test batsman, that you are comparing him to pure technically correct batsmen like Smith, Misbah and Amla. He has in tests always been the keeper who can contribute lower down the order and show resistance. His prime job is in ODIs as the Keeping All-rounder batsman. Tests don't suit MSD's style of batting, and frankly no one expects him to be an Amla, he doesn't have the technique. Even so an avg of 38 for a no. 7 batsman in tests is quite phoenomenol dont you think.
I was not comparing him as a Test batsman with Amla or Smith , he can never be like them. But I was talking about the leadership the latter two with McCullum , Mathews have shown when their teams needed it the most. Even with the kinda potential possessed by these new blazing guns , we manage 4-day matches outta nowhere.[DOUBLEPOST=1419763866][/DOUBLEPOST]
'Playing pathetically' actually doesn't mean 'being out pathetically' and I hope he meant the same thing. Dhoni was really going pathetic as usually. He's more likely a circus man in white costumes with a wooden piece in his hand which doesn't really work for him when playing overseas.
LMAO! But that was too much of "Beizzati"! :p

This made me smile. Reminds me of a quote from one of my fav films - You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

WC '11 MSD could do no wrong. Today ppl actually argue he usually bats pathetically, almost akin to a circus clown with a wooden piece in his hands. Haha

Get over it guys. Just read it again and you will realise this became a witchhunt long ago. That MSD cannot win is one thing and criticising him for that is one thing, but to say that he bats as well as a clown would bat, Haha.

MSD is one of the best finishers, if not the greatest finishers the game has ever known, and he knows a thing or two about his batting. Yes tests are not his forte is also true, but in comparing his batting to a circus clown, your argument lost all sense of rationality and took the form of essentially a senseless rant.

I think there are two MSDs. One who plays One Dayers and the other who plays the test cricket. :p

Maybe we have played well but the kind of Mitch who played against England was hell lotta different than the Johnson playing in this series.

LOoooL

When You believe that India Really Played well after 1000runs or More.

I must Tell You He is same Johnson We saw In England who took 37 wickets.
Indians Just showing More Fight against Him and Avoiding throwing Wickets to Him.

@PokerAce This is how he change his game.

I never would blame him for his captaincy as he's best ever skipper to have won us so many trophies and series. All why I hate him, is because his performance as a batsman in tests at overseas. Actually he has got a less good side since the world cup 2011 to play and win oversea tests and that's not his fault. But being a leader of an unexperienced side now, isn't it his responsibility to bat well and inspire the young lads to do well? If a leader consistently fails to perform well at oversea in tests(I've added more words for a reason), his youth team has to deal their worse era somewhat.

By the way, to be frank, I love watching Dhoni playing ODIs and I support him as a captain but all what goes wrong with me is that I love 5 days cricket over these one day games and exactly that's where India have been so poor in recent years, that's why I gone a little mad I'm sorry.

If You had followed the previous Ashes a bit closely , You would have known how he made His terror in the English basmen even without saying anything. Just go through a few articles by Pieterson on Mitch and You would come across it

If I'm a batsman, most of the times I wouldn't mind a bowler getting me out after scoring 169.
He had Him way before 169 quite a few times but poor fielding let him down. Now stop this useless discussion please!
We lack an Oz perspective here.

Yeah he had him around 88 runs I think? However that was only due to the fact that Kohli lost his focus for a bit due to Johnson's throw and verbal exchanges. Other than that Johnson really had no answer to Kohli, those three consecutive pull shots for boundaries how many people in cricket would have the courage to pull Johnson three times in a row in an over to his bouncers. Even though Johnson did get him in the end I think Kohli smacked around a lot before he got out to him so I think Kohli won the battle.[DOUBLEPOST=1419780519][/DOUBLEPOST]

The thing is he threw his wicket away on that last ball of the day! If he stayed and came out on the 4th day it would have made a huge difference. But we can't do anything about it now, all we can do is hope for the best and maybe India wins.[DOUBLEPOST=1419780610][/DOUBLEPOST]
Certainly saw it.
Those three edges off Kohli!

You do need a little bit of luck in cricket. Especially when you are playing against a really good Australian bowling attack. Three edges is not that much. Even Sachin needed little luck when he was in Australia. You're going to edge a few its just a fact.
