India's tour of Australia - December/January 2015

ashwin's nopw better still needs to bowl one of those slower ones in between more loopy into those roughs and let the rough and drift do the talking

Aussies may want to bat another hour tomorrow. India can run them close with a target of 324. Smith will have that on the back of his mind- especially after what India did in Adelaide.

Is needling Johnson a good idea ... Johnson looked ordinary in the first innings it has to be said, was it the affect of the verbals? We will know tomorrow, but perhaps not the wisest decision.

One of the better seam spells from Ishant, why does it take him so long to work it out, is beyond me. I doubt there will be an over night declaration, Aus will get those 50 more runs before declaring.

Ind needless to say have to go for it, but be a bit more sensible about it. Once the chase is not on, just settle for the draw. No point making it worse.

I would say let Rahul open with Vijay. That is his natural position and let Dhawan bat in the middle order. If he is more comfortable batting there, and remember he got his one big score in the middle order. We need the runs, and if Dhawan cna contribute in the middle order then fine. Also Rahul looked totally lost in the middle order, let him bat in his natural position.

Would you agree? Or would you keep the batting position unchanged.

unchanged as vijay should be the anchor and we need someone to go blazin at the start..even if its a quick fire 30-50...i might even consider putting MSD above not against new ball but anytime after 20 overs and try to have a go and put pujara back.as atleast with pujara we are guaranteed to face 70 odd balls....though dont see that happening.

India Should Go For a win tomorrow not For a draw. It doesnt Matter either You lose the series 2-0 or 4-0 ...A lose is Lose.
If They Go for win Their is a Slight chance of reaching the target with this Batting Lineup and Ofcourse Collapsing too :p

Keep it unchanged, I really feel like Dhawan is just around the corner from producing one of those once in a career knocks and there isn't going to be a bigger stage than tomorrow and tbf to Rahul, it was just 1 inning, there'd be more pressure sending him out to open tomorrow given it's the 2nd innings and let's not forget, Rahane had a horrendous debut vs Australia, look at him now.

Mandeep Singh? :rolleyes

If your eyes had caught the figures bottom to that link then you would know, but sad you didn't.

And how Mandeep would make the comeback, meh?:p

Could we move on tho, he got 20 Tests more than was warranted with his ability in the longest format.[DOUBLEPOST=1419847641][/DOUBLEPOST]

Except I did, it's called being clever.

1. While all the focus has been on Steve, Warner and Mitch, Bucky has been silently accumulating runs, 4 half-centuries in a row.
2. Overnight declaration would be a grave error from Steve, the pitch is a road and 326 is not a very demanding target.
3. Had Warner welcomed an Indian batsman like Kohli did to Haddin, the whole world would've exploded regarding spirit of cricket and other bullshit. When Kohli does it, it is "a good strategy".
