IPL - Transfer/Trade/Auction Thread

Broad made the right decision. I'd like to see him improve his longer game skills and hopefully he'll do that now. And "English" not liking the IPL has nothing to do with Broad getting hit by Yuvraj. That's a pathetic arguement.

Haha all people are hating IPL because its gaining great amount of success and main thing its run by the Indian Cricket Board. Just wait and watch when the ECB starts their tournament. Over there if Yuvi plays he will run a riot.

Not really the whole idea is a silly money grabbing one in the first place, if the "English Premier League" does take place it will be just as shite and unsignificant as the Indian one.

Twenty20 cricket in general is a silly format let alone with a bunch of money grabbing cricket players playing in a tournament.
Test cricket and First Class matches are the only true form of cricket.

No. I'm not hating it, I'm going to watch it. It's just nowhere near as important to anyone outside India as you believe it is. I'm sure even the pro's see it as just a chance to have a bit of a slog for a few weeks, and boost the bank balance nicely.

Also, don't be ridiculous. Stuart Broad's a far better OD bowler than both Pathan and Patel. He's got a much better record than Sharma in T20's as well. A domestic bowling average of 20 at an economy of just over 6, Sharma's got nothing on that. Broad's got 20 more wickets in only 5 extra games.

Looking a our internationals we dont need anyone. Why spend any money in recession.

Well in T20 cricket most of the wickets are because of the silly batsman shots, bowler has just to bowl in T20 cricket. And the economies are almost the same of both the bowlers. But overall in all formats Ishant is much better than Broad.

Spot the English.

Ahem Precamb. Spot the arrogant Indian below ;)

And looking at Broad as a bowler he is just not as good as Zak or Ishant or even Irfan pathan or Munaf Patel. Broad's father must have told him not to go and play in the IPL.

Also Yuvraj would suck on English pitches.

It's not arguing. We were discussing Broad deciding not being put up for auction, when someone decided to bring up Yuvraj

 What hypocrisy. Just because one of your fav players suck at T20 and copped out before it became embarassing, you call IPL bad?

Looking forward to KP getting creamed by our local bowlers.

It's really funny you know. You guys (the English) invented T-20 cricket. You guys designed this whole T-20 structure. Now when the other countries have started dominating in this game you guys have turned a total 360 degree and are now saying "O, T-20 is a silly game, I hate it"- such type of things. Grapes are always sour- aren't they?
