Hard to say. They definitely bowled loose to Watson when the ball was hard and the field was up, whereas towards the end there, Bresnan very nearly bowled a full over of yorkers. Most of the batsmen struggled for timing and I guess you don't break your bat when you middle the ball either. Maybe there was a lack of initiative and inventiveness as the inability to launch the ball became apparent, but if you have to rely on something like Smith's reverse sweep against a fast bowler, it's probably not that easy to score runs. Still, it's very nearly 8 rpo, so there's a chance if they can put some pressure into the game early.
