MATCH REPORT
The first final got underway with a unlucky start for Bangladesh, dropping Ponting first ball. However luck soon turned their way when they got Ponting run out for just 9 runs. Bevan was then sent into bat alongside Hayden and together started hitting singles to start a partnership going. However the partnership broke with both batsmen getting bowled in the same over by Hashrafe. Lehman and Martyn were then out and Australia were in deep trouble in the first final at 6/59. A formidable partnership with Gilchrist and the tail got Australia to 129.

Australia were in trouble in the first final, defending a mere total of 129. Australia got the first breakthrough in the second over, with McGrath getting Omar out for a duck. Bashar was caught behind 4 balls later and Bangladesh found themselves in trouble again at 2/12. A solid partnership between Sakar and Kapal made the target of 130 a realistic chance, as they were keeping up with the required run rate easily. However the run chase got a bit too much for Bangladesh, with half their side getting out run out, and Australia won the first final, bowling Bangladesh out for 95 runs.
