I am starting this story again due to my pics failing me, I believe I have sorted the problem but have lost the original pics so will be starting again.

Same level as before Tutsi's 6.0 patch and hard difficulty

Once again the cricket season is upon us again! This season we will be following Kent closely and analysing them every step of the way. D.Fulton is still captain and R.Key is now vice-captain, with G.Jones still behind the stumps. Kent are in division 2 for the National League and Division 1 for the Frizzel County Championship.

The first match of the season for Kent is a National League match at Canterbury where Kent are going to be playing Derbyshire.

This pitch looks like a seamer's dream, any score 200+ will be good. Out in the middle D.Fulton wins the toss and elects to bat

Out of the dressing room comes the two opening batsmen for Kent, D.Fulton and M.Walker. While they make their way out to the middle let's look at the teams

Cricket20052007-01-1418-00-14-98-1.jpg

After five overs Kent have made a solid start getting 20 runs up on the board and appear to have survived the tricky first few overs

Cricket20052007-01-1418-08-19-10-1.jpg

CURSE OF THE COMMENTATOR

First ball into the sixth over M.Walker attempts a shot over long on but does not get the distance and is caught

M.Walker will be kicking himself for getting out that softly.

This brings the vice-captain R.Key to the crease looking to post a big score

Cricket20052007-01-1418-09-49-04.jpg

KEY IS OUT FOR A GOLDEN DUCK

Attempting to glace one of his legs Key is fooled by the slower delivery and spoons it up to square leg leaving an easy catch for the fielder there

Cricket20052007-01-1418-10-31-50.jpg

Cricket20052007-01-1418-10-20-37.jpg

This brings M.van Jaarsveld to the crease

Cricket20052007-01-1418-10-34-35.jpg

T.LUNGLEY IS ON A HAT-TRICK

He bowls a full delivery and it is EDGED but falls in between gully and first slip. Kent escape.

After 10 overs the score is 41/2. A good run rate but Kent cannot afford to lose anymore quick wickets.

Cricket20052007-01-1418-16-39-29.jpg

The spinner A.Botha is brought on and with his first ball GETS A WICKET.
M.van Jaarsveld attempting to reverse sweep misses and is plum LBW

Cricket20052007-01-1418-22-15-62.jpg

An adequate total but M.van Jaarsveld would have hoped to have scored a few more runs

Cricket20052007-01-1418-22-20-15.jpg

D.Stevens emerges from the pavilion not expecting to have been called into action so early on

Cricket20052007-01-1418-22-23-37.jpg

D.Stevens makes his intentions clear by sweeping A.Botha for four of his second delivery

Cricket20052007-01-1418-22-53-43.jpg

At the end of the powerplay session Kent are 71/3

Cricket20052007-01-1418-25-23-20.jpg

D.Fulton begins to open up and hits some fours along with D.stevens and the partnership begins to build. This shot here fell just short of the boundary

Cricket20052007-01-1418-28-44-37.jpg

TWO RUNS SHORT OF THE 50 PARTNERSHIP D.STEVENS GIVES AWAY HIS WICKET

Attempting to slog sweep A.Botha he top edges it and it goes straight up

Cricket20052007-01-1418-33-09-75.jpg

Cricket20052007-01-1418-33-13-98.jpg

Once again a batsmen gets started but fails to turn his innings into a big score

Cricket20052007-01-1418-33-04-65.jpg

A.Hall emerges...

Cricket20052007-01-1418-33-16-50.jpg

AND FALLS FIRST DELIVERY, ONCE AGAIN TO A.BOTHA

Attempting a sweep A.Hall got in a real mess and completely missed the ball, once again plum LBW

Cricket20052007-01-1418-34-14-50.jpg

G.Jones the wicketkeeper emerges hoping to be able to prove some of his critics wrong and prove that he should be the England keeper

Cricket20052007-01-1418-34-16-71.jpg

After 20 overs the score is 105/5

D.Fulton is going to have to play a captains innings to get a respectable score and G.Jones is going to have to stay with him for at least 15 overs

Cricket20052007-01-1418-34-32-03.jpg

(Updates will be happening next week. Is this better, worse or about the same as the last story)

G.JONES AND D.FULTON DRAG KENT TOWARDS A RESPECTABLE SCORE

D.Fulton scores his half-century. A good way to start the new season

Cricket20052007-01-1421-22-30-37.jpg

After 25 overs the score has moved on to 153/5

Cricket20052007-01-1421-33-41-31.jpg

The 50 partnership arrives with G.Jones being the main contributor

Cricket20052007-01-1421-35-33-37.jpg

G. JONES PERISHES

A good innings by G.Jones and one which could be match winning. Here is how he got out

We must not forget however D.Fulton who is still battling on and has done so from the first over. Unfortunetly the tail cannot support him for long enough and D.Fulton is lefy stranded not out at the end of the innings. R.Ferley and S.Cook did score some quick useful runs. Here is how the tail was dismissed

First R.Ferley

then S.Cook

then R.Joseph

and finally M.Saggers

Here is the kent scorecard with D.Fulton and G.Jones being the main contributors but there where some useful knocks

Cricket20052007-01-1421-42-21-60.jpg

Here is Derbyshire's bowling statistics. A.botha was the pick of the bowlers picking up six wickets

Cricket20052007-01-1421-42-25-09.jpg

D.Fulton's spider. Not very much on the off-side

Cricket20052007-01-1421-42-34-32.jpg

and the partnership's with the sixth wicket partnership being easily the biggest

Cricket20052007-01-1421-42-50-35.jpg

Here is Kent's manhattan

Cricket20052007-01-1421-42-54-34.jpg

ALL WE HAVE TO DO NOW IS WAIT FOR THE DERBYSHIRE OPENERS TO APPEAR AND WE CAN GET ON WITH THE DERBYSHIRE INNINGS

Derbyshire get of to a horrid start losing J.Moss in the second over to A.Hall.
A.Hall was still trying to get his line right and bowled a full toss which J.Moss attempted to pull and hit straight to R.Key at a wide square leg

Cricket20052007-01-1421-46-17-32.jpg

Here is how he got out

The big hitting M.Di Venuto is in now can he get Derbyshire's innings of to a flyer...................

Fulton was let down big time by his team mates, if an opener scores 59 not out at the end of an innings you know your team has failed. good presentation mate, keep it up

That was like Strauss in one of my storys. Made late 60's in the innings and was not out until the end. And his team mates couldnt respond to his good batting. Fulton the same here.
Great Presentation mate keep it up
