ok so here's what's going on in this story. I, Dr. Pepper become Leeds Utd manager taking over from Dennis Wise and go from there. I'm playing on Championship Manager 2008, FM08 stopped working for me so that's why i'm using CM.

Pepper Confirmed as Leeds Manager

Former England international Dr. Pepper has been confirmed as Leeds Utd manager. Pepper will take over the short reign of Dennis Wise after Wise was sacked for expressing interest in other clubs. Pepper received his FIFA Pro License, allowing him to manage, 3 months ago and has been linked with
several jobs since. He has been in the limelight of the press for a while and has finally agreed terms with a club. Pepper will return to his hometown to manage the struggling Leeds Utd. Leeds who have had 15 points deducted from them for going into administration have a mountain to climb in the table. Here is the exclusive Sky Sports interview:

Geoff Shreeves: "First of all congratulations on the new job Pepper, how does it feel to be managing Leeds?"

Dr. Pepper: "Thank you Geoff. It feels great, back at the city I grew up in is just brilliant. I can't wait to manage my first game."

GS: "What about the 15 point deduction, how will your team cope with that?"

DP: "Of course it's going to be tough. It was always going to be hard but with the point deduction our team will have to strength to strength to get through."

GS: "What are your aims for the season?"

DP: "Well I think we are capable of getting promoted to be honest. 15 points can't stop us and we are definitely capable of doing well. We have a great squad with outstanding players."

GS: "What is your financial situation at the moment?"

DP: "That is discussed within the board room and kept within the board room. I am not told about such matters and I do not wish to know either. I cannot answer that question Geoff."

GS: "Thank you Dr. Pepper and good luck"

DP: "OK."

Pepper chases youngsters
Dr. Pepper has confirmed interest in signing 16 year olds Victor Moses and Henri Saivet. Moses who plays for Crystal Palace and Saivet the highly rated French talent. Saivet is unlikely to join Leeds permanently but Pepper said he'd like to get him on loan for a season or two. As for Moses, Pepper said "We've had our scouts look at him and i've gone to see him myself and he really is a good prospect for the future and the present. He has a lot of potential and that can be unleashed at Leeds. We have great youth facilities and coaches and I hope that will tempt Moses. I would like to sign Moses permanently but if he does not wish to leave Palace I'll try a loan offer." Moses has impressed all the Leeds staff and is definitely a player worth looking at.

why can't i edit it!?

Westlake on the move
Ian Westlake could be leaving Leeds Utd for Stoke or Bristol City. Stoke are the favourites to sign the Leeds central midfielder but nothing is certain yet. Stoke are said to offer a deal around ?375k for the midfielder which is very appealing to a League 1 side. Commenting on this Leeds manager, Dr. Pepper said "Ian has not come to me about being unhappy at the club and wanting to leave so there is no deal what so ever so far. If any club is interested in signing a player of mine I suggest they contact me instead of alerting the media. If there is any deal to be arranged I am not aware of it."

this is getting annoying. everytime i try and post it says "please lengthen your post to 2 characters." wtf?

You can't just post with a quote, you need to have some writing by yourself. I would recommend putting a title at the beginning.

Apart from that nice update :)

ahhh ok thanks tom

Weymouth vs Leeds-Friendly
Pre-match build up:
The first game in charge for Dr. Pepper and it will be interesting to see how he copes. It's only a friendly but it's a great chance to analyise players before the season begins. Weymouth are most likely to just go out and get their players fit but Leeds will definitely be on top form. The players want to impress their new manager and have their chance now.

GK-Matthews
DF-Kitamarike
DF-Tindall
DF-Doe

MF-Douglas (c)
MF-Howson

Pre-match interview:

Dr. Pepper: "It is very exciting to be managing my first game. I'm a little nervous but it's drowned out by my enthusiasm to go out and win my first game in charge. Of course it's only a friendly but it gives my a chance to see my team in action and pick an appropriate squad. I hope that my team will do well and impress me. This game will give me an indication of what we are capable of achieving this season."

Game Overview:

Half time analysis
Sloppy defending let Weymouth to take the lead in the 13th minute with Coutts and all Pepper could do was sit and watch his team go down by a goal. Tresor Kandol finished a great attack in the 39th minute, some great passes led to a clinical finish by Kandol. Leeds dominated most of the half but the score 1-1. Pepper most likely to be dissapointed and will no doubt make some changes. Weymouth don't seem to bothered about the scoreline and more about the fitness of their players and are happy if they get some match practice.

Lucky to get the goal back. Why did all your players have down arrows before the match? Were you on the defence?

And on the halftime statistics are you the first column or the second?

no the arrow is their confidence. because it's the first game everyone has down arrow. our statistics are second and clearly we dominated

Full Time Analysis
9 changes made at half time by Dr. Peppper, giving him a chance to see all his players in action. A much better display by Leeds, dominating the second half as well as they did in the first but this time they made it count. 5 minutes into the second half Leon Constantine slotted home to give Leeds the lead. In the 67th minute veteran Norwegian Tore Andre Flo made it 3-1 and Leeds were showing what they were made of. In the midfield it was only Leeds to possess the ball and they managed to get a 4th with Hughes sealing a great game for Leeds.

Post-match Interview:

Random Reporter: "Congratulations on a win in your first game Dr. Pepper, what did you think of the game?"

Dr. Pepper: "It was a good result but that's the least of my concerns. It was good to see my team play and they did well which is good. Hopefully they can play like that all season. We dominated the whole game and owned the midfield."

RR: "Were there any stand out players in that match?"

DP: "Everyone did really well but Constantine gave that extra bit of effort and congratulations to him for that. I was really pleased with him because he not only scored a goal but was running around chasing the ball and not just waiting for it to come to him."

RR: "Have you picked your main players for the season?"

DP: "We're a team, we have to play together. There are no individual players and that means everyone must play as a team. I don't pick "main" players because no one is guaranteed a place in the starting line up. To play the matches you must give 100% in training and give it your all in the match. Any one who doesn't give it their all doesn't deserve to play in my team."

RR: "Congratulations on the win and thank you."

Leeds Sign Saivet
Leeds Utd have signed promising Frenchman Henri Saivet on loan till the end of the season. Saivet joins Leeds for a season from French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux. The 17 year old is a promising talent and is expected to do extremely well at Leeds. Dr. Pepper said he was delighted to have Saivet at Leeds and had high hopes for the lad. Saivet speaking exclusively to Sky Sports said "It's an honour to be playing in England and I hope to have a great season here. I'm very enthusiastic about my future and who knows, maybe it will be in England permanently.

Coventry Chase Leeds Centre-Back
Coventry City are after Leeds Utd Centre-back Rui Marques. City have had a £275k deal rejected by Leeds but are resilient to quit in their bid to get the defender at the club. Speaking on this Rui Marques said "Nothing is certain yet. Maybe I will go to Coventry, maybe I will stay at Leeds. Of course I wish to play at the best club possible and Coventry are a league higher than Leeds but I have a contract at Leeds at the moment. Anything is possible though."

arghhh, automerged doublepost :(. so annoying!

Leeds Sign Carboni
Leeds Utd have signed Ezequiel Carboni for ?1.3million. Carboni agreed terms with Leeds this afternoon. 28 year old powerful midfielder leaves Salzburg for the League 1 side. Dr. Pepper said "It's great to have an experienced, excellent player on our team. He will contribute a lot to our campaign hopefully and we expect a lot from him. He has a lot of years ahead of him still and we want them years to be with us." Carboni is Pepper's 2nd signing this season, the other being Henri Saivet on loan. Carboni responded "It's great to be at Leeds. I feel I can pursue my career here and become a better player. Leeds are a good side and I want to help them by playing well. I'm sad to be leaving Salzburg but it's the best for my career."

What we would be wanting from a League One centre back I will never know :p Although we did sgn Daniel Fox and Scott Dann from Walsall this season, and since then they have played for the England U21s and have never had a bad game!! Well done Doctor, great work. Loverly to see another footie story!
