Home and away fixtures? A 34,000-seater stadium in New York? If the league can build on the momentum it has already generated, why not?

34,000 seater stadium in New York? That sounds exciting! I agree that "home and away" format will be fantastic for Major League in America! But not sure if this dream will be feasible for Season 2 itself since USA needs many more stadiums to fulfill that. But all the possibilities to get there. Fingers crossed that the T20 World Cup 2024 next year propels the game's popularity further in USA and hopefully they use atleast 3-4 stadiums in USA to co-host that tournament.

They are building that stadium as temp pop up. The one MINY have asked NY is a 10000 seater so lets see what gets approved.

I just heard this tournament might be 5-6 weeks long and if that is the case, I am out! The beauty about this tournament is its only 3 weeks. Not all league need double round robin! Please dont do it. Also 2 more teams joining by 2025.

Not gonna make money with a 3-week tournament and players being paid more than The Hundred.

Similar happened with The Blast and I'd say IPL expansion - in terms of time -makes it feel very drawn out.

Cannot agree more, the only reason I felt IPL was boring is because it is so long.

The best approach for IPL would be to only play the same group. Redo the groups based on rankings of previous year.

More double headers match days would help but I assume that's not as good for the bottom line.

The NOC ban is only till June 30. If the league does start in July then he should be fine.

Isn't MLC in July/August? His NOCs are only removed till June, which is pretty useless since the only leagues are PSL and IPL. They're not tryna starve him of income, just assert their power

Yes true. MLC will be immediately after the WC. World Cup ends June 29th so thinking MLC starts on July 4th. Perfect time to begin seeing that will be a long weekend for all.
