Chapter 19 ~ Back To Training

So it was our last training session before our first match. I wanted to show some aggressive hitting with the bat as well as bowl well. We were in the nets. I padded up and had a bat first. Quick bowler, Josh Hazlewood bowled first at me. I blocked a few to start off with and maybe I should have defended a few more as I got hit on the glove trying to play the pull shot and Hazlewood is fast. I got revenge on him as I lofted it 2 balls later over cover. He then decided to throw in a short ball which I only just managed to get out of the way. I lofted it over his head next ball which I was pretty happy about and that was revenge. Josh just shook his head. I played a few nice defensive strokes before Hazlewood came off.

Now it was Prithviraj C coming onto bowl. Another fast bowler. He was bowling around the wicket to me though. The angle was annoying and he put one short and it went into my ribs. Ouch. The next ball, he bowled it pretty fuller just outside the offstump and I stupidly went to square drive it and was clean bowled. I played a very good aggressive cut shot which went a fair way as it was hit very well. He got me back by putting it in short again and I was hit on the glove again trying to pull. I think he was bowling the short delivery too much and I ducked out of the way off the next bouncer he bowled. He threw one up a bit fuller but I was quickly onto it and came down the wicket to loft it over mid off. I faced a few more deliveries before I came out of the nets.

I then went and had a bowl except I wasn?t up to bowling quick so I tried bowling some leg spin. It was Usman Khawaja that I was bowling at. I wasn?t getting the ball to turn much at all but I wasn?t a leg spin bowler so that didn?t bother me. I wasn?t bowling that accurate as I dragged one down which just sat up but Khawaja just deflected it down to where gully would have been. I actually got one to turn a fair bit which Khawaja tried to glance but got an thick edge towards gully. I bowled alright but I don?t think I would change to spin as I was bowling really well with my fast mediums.

Next update will be after Biggy releases his KFC T20 Big Bash roster.

Mate, why did you go that fast.? You'd have given some small part episodes but extending and making the same episode into three or 4 so that by the time you finish this, big'd have finished the roster:) btw, I bowled:D

So much pressure. Great updates man, I forgot about this story but last time when I followed the IPL part I really enjoyed it.

Nice. That is fine. Will the PC members be in a different team or just part of any team.

In a team of their own, but you can easily edit that using Player Editor, or if you tell me what you want I'll do it for you.

Chapter 20 ~ Before The Match

The squad had finally been announced for the first match. I was given a spot in the Starting XI along with Prithviraj. The opening batsman were Phil Hughes and David Warner. Prithviraj C was to come in at #3 with Henriques coming in at #4 who was captaining the side. I was chosen to bat at #5 with Steven Smith coming in at #6. Daniel Smith was keeping and due to come in at #7 with Dwayne Smith at #8, and Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Burt Cockley to finish the starting XI. We had plenty of bowling options with Prithvi, Henriques, Steven Smith, Dwayne Smith, the 3 quick bowlers and of course, me.

Jaques missed out on a spot in the starting XI, Prithvi given the chance up the order. Clark was still out with injury but likely to be back for our next match. A chance for me to show my talent in the opening game of the KFC T20 Big Bash.

I have updated the first post with all the chapters. I have made it so I have the IPL diary in one quote and T20 Big Bash in another quote. Does it look better presented like that.
