New Zealand Domestic Season

He hasn't been a permanent fixture in the CD OD/T20 line-up this season, for the first time in what seems like an eternity, so I don't think it'll be too long.
Same goes with Mason, with all those young CD quick's coming through.

Papps is slowly going as well.

Yeah, we do actually have a lot of good young players coming through the domestic teams. It would be good for the older guys to go, some of them are holding the youngsters back and the domestic competition is there for blooding international cricketers.

I see Otago U-23 made a good effort attempting to chase down 320 in 51 overs. James Fuller back, didn't bowl much for some reason.

Yeah that was a good effort chasing although, from the scores I'm sure the pitch was really flat.

Yeah I haven't checked the final score of the other games but last I heard they were all heading for draws. 4 day games would've been good. The Otago bowling unit in that game was nothing special though, and Fuller played as mainly a batsman which is strange. I wonder if he's given up on England already or just getting some cricket in over the English winter.

Haha a tie. Good to see Broom back in some form. I'm Picking an Otago Canterbury final, you could say I'm a bit late but I picked it a few rounds ago. Two hard games coming up for Otago though so I wouldn't be surprised if thy lost them both.

Good that Williamson got some runs as well, does anyone know why Flynn didn't play?? Surely he wasn't dropped..

I might as well make a prediction for the sake of it after the first two rounds, so I'll go with an Auckland - ND final.

My prediction still looks alright.

Canterbury - 17
Otago - 16
Auckland - 14
Northern - 14

There's nothing really in the top four.

No idea why Flynn wasn't playing, but yea I wouldn't think he was dropped. So annoying that we tied though, we were well on track to win that match.

lol Bates was dropped though :p

Thats pretty unbelievable that Bates was dropped, but understandable given the team Auckland had. We can swap Bates for McKay if Auckland don't need him :p

You just contradicted yourself within a few words there :p

Whoops lol :p

Even our Under 23 team sucks, Auckland are 159-1 after 17 and i'm assuming these games aren't twenty20s because the other games run rates are like around 4 or 5.

It looks like Milne was dropped as well, because he was 12 man for CD. :p

They could have just been resting Bates, because normally he takes preference over Martin in our limited overs matches, but then again Bates has been pretty poor in our 50 over matches this season.

Tim McIntosh you limited overs beast!

Once again Neil Broom gets a 100 but we still can't manage to build any partnerships before Stevens comes in. Good to see Wagner back although he obviously didn't have a good day, Otago need the rest of the top 4 to score runs in the final round match.

Bloody Cantabs are still above us.

Great knock by McIntosh, IIRC he played a similar knock last season. By the looks of things he has one of them per each 50 over season.
