He took 12 off the last over to get CD into the final. The Otago vs Auckland game has been on TV but they have a camera at the ND vs CD so we have been getting updates from there too.
Also Wellington won so we didn't finish last which was a relief, was a good game as well.

Probably best S/R in NZ domestic cricket, and he trys to do some crappy little paddle sweep.
Taylor was pumped up, I don't think I've ever seen such a celebration in cricket.
Should be a good final, at least the Volts aren't there, I have nothing against them, I just don't want them to go to the CL again, as they done crap last time.
Also why are they playing a specialist keeper, surly Baz should just keep and they play an extra batter...

I'm glad that eliminator didn't decide who want in the final. It's stupid. Have always said it is and always will. I preferred the bowl out. Plus the light was an obvious issue, with bowl outs light is no issue.
Anyway the outcome only mattered for who hosts the final so I don't care. Auckland deserved to lose the way they played at the end there. Was very poor. They even sent the wrong batsmen out to face the eliminator. de Grondholme on strike over the likes of Guptill, Vincent, Styris, etc? Absurd. They all have way more class.

!!! Yes exactly, a keeper batting 10? Just stupid... As much as I hate Shaun Haig, surely he would be a better option, aggressive batsman and he's a keeper!

About Arnel being contracted but not selected. What do you guys think? Too many players seem to get contracts and then hardly get used or aren't actually wanted. Oh and for the record I wouldn't have selected Arnel either.
I made my feelings about Greatbatch known in the Bangladesh tour thread.
As for Arnel the whole thing is just strange I would never give a contract to anyone who has not played for the Blackcaps before, it is something you need to earn.

The contracts are given out, to the 20 ppl how are going to be the best use to New Zealand cricket in the next 12 months.
Arnel got close to selection a few series ago, but Mackey who couldn't make the Auckalnd side on a consistent basis last year, has more or less came out of no where.

de Boorder is a much better batsman than one who should be batting at 10 though... He should've been playing at 8 or so.
