New Zealand Domestic Season

He seems pretty good indeed.

Can I make a silly suggestion? Recall Sinclair to the ODI side.

Now, let's think a little bit. He was basically dropped for this poor test performances. Hes been the form One Day batter in domestic. He has experience. He's stayed loyal. He played during 2007 most recently and during that year averaged over 40 yet still got dropped. We need a proper replacement for Styris.

This Neil Wagner guy is pretty good. It would seem he's moved over here from SA. He's a left arm bowler and has a very impressive First Class record and his ListA is damned impressive too. He might be in black in a year or so. Best thing, he's only 22 years old!

Looks like you got your wish lol, lets hope all the bowlers go out and get drunk and miss team meetings, etc. Maybe NZ will be forced to select Bond.

lol. Sinclair was a bit fail. Whenever he walks out there he just looks horribly nervous. I thought since he doesn't seem to really care about fighting for a place anymore he might calm down a bit and just play naturally, but nope. Same old Sinclair. Too much going on in his head obviously, he doesn't stand there and just bat.

Good day of State Shield today, Chris Martin bowled another nice spell. 3-39 off 10. McIntosh got a nice 71 to help chase down a win. Papps got an anchor paced 109. Northern chased down Otago with scores and wickets shared around. Wellington chased down 263 to win their game too with Matthew Bell putting his hand up again with 124 runs. Sure, not a test match but still in good form to replace How. Speaking of How, he scored 88* off 105 balls so that should do him some good, some time in the middle.

Franklin was back as a specialist batsman and made 33. Sinclair was back for Central so it looks like he's definitely been dropped for Ryder for the next ODI against the West Indies.

I guess Sinclair's lost his confidence with all the in and outs he's had with the nz team.

It's pretty common knowledge Sinclair was a failure due to his lack of mental toughness, however the selectors and coaches are also to blame for their inability to guide him through the times his form slumped rather than just dropping him on a whim.

Gillespie got smashed. Get this, ND needed 9 runs off the last 2 balls of the final over and McGlashan hit Gillespie for 2 sixes in a row. Some death bowler :/ To Gillespie's credit though he did get 2 wickets from the first 2 balls and the second two balls were a dot and a single. Still he got hammered. Not good enough for the Black Caps.

Wellington losing was unbelievable. They had Ryder, Franklin, Elliot, Patel, Gillespie and O'Brien. That's a lot of black caps. Couldn't beat a side with 2 black caps. Elliot batted well though, 78 off 71 which is great. One of the few black caps to have a good day.

What's with Canterbury winning a game? They scored almost 300! Then Shane Bond was at his best.

The Wellington vs ND game was a classic can't believe what happened in the last over :( O'Brien has been bowling very well he could take Gillespie's spot for the Australian tour.

WL vs ND was tight, especially that last over. McGlashan managed to come through under pressure, I've always said he should be playing for NZ

Hopkins is alright. McGlashan played in a few Twenty/20's for us and looked horrible. Hopefully we don't ever need a back-up keeper :)

How goes out for 0 again that is what 4 or 5 times that has happened since he was dropped 2 of them have been first ball as well. So much for him getting runs under his belt at domestic level. Could be a long road back for him now with guys like Guptill and McIntosh taking their chances.

Looks like Auckland is going to join Wellington and be knocked out of the OD comp today. I predict it will be a ND vs Otago Final

Oh yeah thumped Auckland. We're indestructible... INDESTRUCTABLE I SAY!

Good innings from Watling and Marshall however Reece Young deserves a bit of credit, he put up a bit of a fight even though the rest of his team didn't.
