New Zealand in England

No it wouldn't because he'd be assured that he's still Test keeper, but not suited to the ODi job. Not hurting his feelings is also insufficient reasoning for not dropping him. Mustard did nothing wrong, his last innings he made 80odd iirc, so that was a very poor decision on behalf of the England selectors to drop him. Get him back in the side and drop Wright to 7. We do need to win the final ODi after all.

Like I said at the start of the series, Ambrose can't come out of this looking good with his batting, because he bats so low down the order. We need a Keeper opener for me, Mustard did OK, I don't get why he was dropped really.

Well I've got to say, I think Collingwood made a massive mistake in not allowing Elliot to come back, however, the reaction of McCullum, Vettori and Styris on the balcony was well out of order. To be swearing out into public is poor form and I'm pretty sure I saw McCullum, doing the f*** you gesture with his arm to the crowd and England players when they got the runs. Frankly I think Collingwood and those 3 NZ players should be ashamed of what they did, but it was pleasing to see both Colly and Vettori apologise. Hopefully, as both captains said they can move on

If NZ lost this, and I was Vettori, I would consider harassing and insulting Collingwood right at the presentation.

And the reason that I could do that was, Collingwood would not have had a chance to apologize, since I'd be speaking first (if I lost) ;)

But I must say, Collingwood did say the right things at the end, even if he didn't make the correct decision.

And we won the first one with Ambrose in the team so we are more than capable of winning the final game too. You can't go around demanding people to be dropped just because your cheesed off about England getting beat. By all means bring him in for the next series against South Africa, but he's started this series so he might as well finish it.

Is that news to you? Players gesturing to the fans. Nothing new, as far as I'm concerned. Seen it many times from Indian players to Pakistani fans, from Pakistani players to Indian fans, etc.

After what happened, I'll be honest, I'd be pretty pumped up. If I was on the balcony you'd find many things being tossed off the balcony and into the crowd :p

First ovalgate, and now

I wanna know how they get the stripes in Aquafresh.

I think it's a massive test of Collingwood's captaincy this. How he deals with it will be a true test of his character. Nass probably would have resigned by now.

Ambrose is rubbish as a keeper TBH.

Foster should be England's Keeper.

England need a revamp by getting rid of Ambrose and Colly.

And putting Shah up to 4 and Bopara to 5.

Getting rid of our skipper, best fielder (no-one else in the England squad could have made the run out he did today to get rid of Styris) and best ODI all-rounder bar until Freddie?

Nah. Vaughny doesn't resign from anything. He's not even retired from ODI cricket yet. You'd think he'd have taken the hint by now.

I'll be honest - what the hell were Pietersen and Bell and Wright and another England player doing standing at the stumps

Have 3 stand at the stumps and 1 backing up... cost England a tie, or possibly a win, if a fielder could get it into hand and take the bails off

And theres nothing amazing about his captaincy to be honest...

That's called adrenalin. Everyone went running in on sheer instinct and without thinking.

Also where was Mascarenhas? And to drop Ambrose and Colly would be plain dumb, banjo, but then you are an Aussie fan  :p
