New Zealand in England

We never said he was gonna quit International Cricket :p

And theres nothing amazing about his captaincy to be honest...

I was referring to Banjo's post.

I think he's done a good job as captain. He's no Stephen Fleming but he's done pretty good.

That's called adrenalin. Everyone went running in on sheer instinct and without thinking.

Also where was Mascarenhas? And to drop Ambrose and Colly would be plain dumb, banjo, but then you are an Aussie fan  :p
I know it was adrenalin, but I thought one of them would have the sense to back up the throw.

By the way, I have a query about the final score - didn't the ball go to the boundary rope for 4 (making it 5)

Since the ball was certainly not dead, if it did eventually go to the boundary rope...

If I was Gillespie, I'd want every run no matter how it came :p

zMario added 0 Minutes and 51 Seconds later...

I didn't say he was bad, but he's not a Vaughan or a Ponting - more in the Shoaib Malik school of thought :p

Man, I was absolutely fuming at the time of the incident, but in hindsight now, I really feel for Colly, such a tough decision. Having said that though, I still think he should have called for a dead ball. I feel common sense should have prevailed.

So very glad that the Kiwis won in the end, otherwise it would have been a pretty awkward presentation.

Hats off to Kyle Mills as well, keeping his cool in such a situation, he deserves all the praise he gets.

Yeah...

After calming down slightly about the controversial moment and the fantastic finish to the game, I wonder whether the umpire could have called dead ball.

Its obvious what the conversation was between Benson and Collingwood (with his arms on shoulder)

Basically asked if he wanted to rethink his appeal, and he said no. (watch sky replays - quite conclusive on that he said no)

The other thing to be noted is that while the run out was a split-second thing (and that was by Ian Bell), but the decision from Collingwood came after 5-6 minutes of delibirations (sp?)..

Collingwood flatters to decieve.

He never wins a game for England.

His captaincy is patchy at best.

And someone from the countys deserves a chance.

You obviously know nothing at all about English cricket so stop trying to kid us that you do. In the CB series finals against Australia, he scored 2 centuries that won us those games.

Well, I heard one of the commentators saying that in case of a serious injury, it has to be a dead ball, and Elliot was in no position to complete the single, so I don't know. Tricky situation, but again, let's all be glad the Kiwis won, the aftermath would have been a lot uglier otherwise.

OK.

Collingwood has won England no games except 2 games which were ages ago.

*Sigh*

Those were 2 occassions I could remember straight away. He is a match winner with bat, his fielding and sometimes his bowling.

Collingwood.

The same Collingwood who bottled a easy catch today.

And the same one who cheated to get Elliot Run out.

Great Captain a Bottler and a Cheater.

TBH he sounds a typical English sportsman he bottles it and Cheats.

Coming from someone who supports Australia?

Obviously, you're going to use bullshit statements like your previous one to win your argument so i can't be arsed continnuing this debate.

He just doesn't do much for me. It is just my opinion, I don't particularly rate him

As Will said you obviously have no idea about English cricket

Ive watch every England match the whole way through for the last 3 years.

And i watch a lot of County games.
