New Zealand Tour of India, November 2010/11

Dhoni has a fever and they thought it might be malaria. They're not sure though.

Not surprised to see McIntosh out early. Wouldn't be surprised to see Watling following shortly. And then McCullum playing too aggressively despite the situation will get out.

Chewie added 16 Minutes and 28 Seconds later...

Half of my prediction has come through. Hopefully the other half doesn't.

Anyone else reckon Ojha looks a little like Isaia Toeava?

Is it just me or Hamish Bennett's action is pretty much similar to Bond's action?

bad day for Inia, but a good day for cricket.

I was like wow, that so many wickets fell on Motera wickets. Sachin couldn't give us a Diwali party, but there was sikh to do so. Harbhajan entertained in his aggressive innings, great to see. This proved how useful batsmen he is down the order.
India should look to pick some quick wickets in morning session tomorrow and I think second session will turn out to be something good cricket between bat and bowl.

India in control to say the least.

India are in control, though New Zealand played much better than one thought, today. I think this game might throw up a result (most likely in India's favor). No worries with Sachin. He still has so many innings this series to come good. And 40 is not a bad score at all.

That day was pretty much as good as we could have hoped for.

Our bowling was more or less perfect for the first session and a bit, until their 9th wicket put on whatever they did. That has always been one of our problems, we fail to mop up tails.

I'm pretty happy with the batting start as well, McIntosh and Watling were more or less always not going to trouble the scorers, and all of our big guns are still left intact.

Hopefully today (might be tomorrow in India) we can get full the first session with only one further casualty, and we'll be in good shape to avoid the follow-on and push for a draw.

he looks more like sohail tanveer rather than bond IMO.

was like wow, that so many wickets fell on Motera wickets.

isn't surprising when the pitch is so low. i fear for what the NZ batsmen will have to face today. Lets just hope they hang in and bat out the day.

Taylor out :facepalm He had looked good up to then and had his half-century. Only needed 3 more runs to bring up 2000 career runs too

Jesse Ryder and Wlliamson are both looking good ATM, bowlers aren't actually troubling them. Ojha has been brilliant, much consistent than Harbhajan, liked his bowling. He bowls with discipline in line and length.

Khan was looking good too in morning session, would've been good if he could have picked up a wicket or two.

ATM, India seriously needs to pick either Ryder or Kane or both to be back on top and control the match fully.

Dravid missed his 199th catch :p I just wish India bowl out NZ for less than 280; The pitch is genuine atm, and the spin and swing on either ends should try to unsettle the batsmen.

...

Ryder pacing his innings now. A 50. Willy doing good too, India should bring their best 2 bowlers now I guess. Sree was doing well before the lunch.

What a great day so far from us.

All of our main four players have looked very comfortable, I guess Dravid's catch could have swung the game right back to India, but all good innings need some luck.

India are still ahead, but another good final session could even the game out after three days, who would have thought that after day one.

Ryder reached his well deserved fifty but it's getting troublesome for India. Ryder already got his fifty, Williamson very near it.

If India can't take one-two more wickets then things will get messy, NZ are playing really good ATM.

Wickets please.
