New Zealand lead by 21 runs
10 wickets in hand

The match is very well balanced coming into the third day. A lot relies on how the Kiwis bat and how the Aussies bowl. Any score over 300 will be a very hard chase on a bad wicket...

HOW SCORES A QUICK FIFTY

Jamie How has finally broken through the barrier and reached the 50 he had missed out on many times. How, unlike his partner has taken valuable risks and is getting the rewards. Papps seems content to just block anything that comes near him, not a good strategy against the Aussies?

J.How 50(58)*
M.Papps 1(44)*
NZ: 0/56 (17)

i think pitch has changed a bit!!!!
so, its a tight competition now!!!!

Around target of 350, Aussies must find comfortable!!!!
Cheers

PAPPS CAUGHT IN THE SLIPS

Papps? boring innings has finally come to an end, with the first attacking shot he played. Papps fell to Kasper, who is having a wonderful time with the ball this series. Kasper drew the Kiwi opener into a cover drive which created a thick outside edge taken by a diving Ponting at second slip?

S.Fleming 0(1)*
J.How 50(58)*
M.Papps 1(49)
NZ: 1/56 (18)
New Zealand lead by 63 runs
9 wickets in hand

HOW FOLLOWS QUICKLY

Dizzy Gillespie has claimed his first to help the Australian cause. Dizzy used his famed slower ball to bring the downfall of How. The slower ball pitched on the top of off stump, How tried to turn the ball away through mid wicket but misjudged the speed and popped it up to the waiting hands of Brett Lee?

N.Astle 0(4)*
S.Fleming 0(7)*
J.How 58(66)
NZ: 2/65 (21)
New Zealand lead by 72 runs
8 wickets in hand

B.Lee 0/25 (6)
J.Gillespie 1/23 (11)

ASLTE GONE CHEAPLY AGAIN

Nathan Astle has been caught in the slips for another low score as the Aussies force their way back into the game. Brett Lee was the wicket taker, after coping flak from How, Lee was brought back on and immediately made an impact. Lee had Astle fishing outside off and eventually found the outside edge which flew to wide 1st slip into Warne?s safe hands?

J.Oram 0(0)*
S.Fleming 9(45)*
N.Astle 9(26)
J.How 58(66)
NZ: 3/92 (31)
New Zealand lead by 99 runs
7 wickets in hand

B.Lee 1/25 (7)
J.Gillespie 1/34 (15)
M.Kasprowicz 1/25 (8)
