Newcastle United

Well, seeing cheaterr start an FM story,I thought it would be fun doing one myself :)

I took charge of Newcastle United,to see if I can do a better job than Graeme Souness :p

My goal is to bring in some silverware to the club :)

Of course, the ultimate goal is to win the Champions league.

I've done it with Liverpool so far,so doing it with Newcastle should be far easier :p

I will try to make this thread as realistic as it can be :)

go on

so it seems you are trying to fetch Newcastle the silverware so go on with it and try your best.

Thanks.

Cheaterr,I have a question to ask you: How do you take the pics with Fraps?

Because F10 is an unchangeable hotkey(in the game). So I changed the screenshot button to something else, but the pics are still not taken.

Am I going wrong somewhere?

EDIT : Sorted it out myself :)

Rookie Manager Takes Charge At St James's

In a surprise announcement,Newcastle sacked Graeme Souness(:)),and appointed rookie manager Gold639 as his replacement :)

The Chairman Freddy Shepherd Expects the Club to Qualify of Europe.Little does he know that the manager has higher goals ;)

The Club Supporters seem to be disappointed at my appointment :(

PRE SEASON TRANSFERS

TRANSFERS IN:

1:Javier Mascherano - 9 Million Signing From River Plate

This guy is a future Vieira.I watched him play in 2 games and he was just superb.Amazing player.Very good at marking and tackling.Good at heading.Has good vision too,so he can create a few chances for me.

2:Rafael Van Der Vaart - 12 Million Signing From Ajax Amsterdam

Come on....all of you guys must've heard of him...future Johan Cruyff, anyone?;) He has sublime passing skills and he has good pace and acceleration.I intend to use him as an Attacking Midfielder.

3:Mauro Esposito - 11 Million Signing From Cagliari

This winger will be a legend.Simply Brilliant. My scouts were drooling over him lol ;) .His dribbling can rival the likes of Zidane and Ronaldinho.I am quite sure he is quicker than even Arjen Robben.I expect big things from this guy.

4:Freddy Guarin - 1 Million Signing from Envigado

Promising Defensive Midfielder. Will be good backup to Mascherano and Butt.

5:Anthony Vanden Borre

Very promising 16 Year Old Defender

TRANSFERS OUT:

1:Kieron Dyer - 2 Million to Aston Villa

This guy is a plain crybaby.I got rid of him at the first opportunity.

2:Aaron Hughes - 3 Million to Birmingham(Take Note Zim :p)

Well I didnt really want to sell him..but the offer from Birmingam was too good to refuse.

Craig Bellamy - 4 Million to Mallorca

I am sure I don't have to explain why I have to sell this idiot.

TRANSFERS THAT FAILED:

Lebohang Mokoena

This fella failed to get a Work Permit :( I was very disappointed as he looked very promising

Daniel Bierofka

He chose Man City over me

Nicola Legrottaglie

He chose to go to Lazio instead of me.

Vincent Kompany

He chose Barca over me

TOTAL MONEY(INCLUDING PLAYERS SOLD):36 Million

Newcastle vs Chelsea

Newcastle vs Chelsea

First Game of the EPL For The Magpies

Premiership Saturday

John Dykes:

New Boss Gold639 will face a stern test as his first game in charge is against Jose Mourinho and his Chelsea side. Its Chelsea vs Newcastle, here on Premiership Saturday.

*Broadcast starts*

Dykes:

Hello folks, and welcome to Premiership Saturday. Its the start of another EPL season, and all teams will be looking to get a good start. Here are the matches:

First up : Chelsea vs Newcastle at Stamford Bridge.Your thoughts on this match Jamie?

Jamie Reeves:Very interesting match here John. Two new managers. Two teams with many new players. This will be a very interesting match indeed.Hard to predict but I'd go for a Chelsea win.1-0.

Dykes:Then we've got Portsmouth taking on The Gunners at Highbury.

Reeves:Arsenal will be looking to extend their unbeaten run while Harry Redknapp and Portsmouth will be looking to land a big upset.I dont see that happening though.3-0 to Arsenal.

Dykes: Then we've got Birmingham playing Spurs at White Hart Lane.

Reeves:Another very interesting match John.Debutant Emile Heskey will be looking to fire his new side to a good start while New Goalkeeper Paul Robinson will be looking to keep a clean sheet.I go for a Spurs win.3-2.

Dykes: Next up:Bolton travel to Selhurst Park to take on promoted Palace.

Reeves : Allardyce has made many new signings to his Bolton team, the main ones being El Hadji Diouf and Hierro. But Palace have AJ.I think Bolton will win this.2-1

Dykes : Those are the early kick off's folks. We've got many, many more matches coming up here on Premiership Saturday,so stay tuned.

Dykes : First match we're broadcasting is the main one.Its the Blues vs The Magpies. We're 5 minutes away from kick off. Here are the formations.First up,the Newcastle Formation:

Reeves: Very interesting formation John.A 4-4-2 Diamond. Its a very strong side.It will be interesting to watch Mauro Esposito. This guy has a great future and he will be looking to have a great debut.Van Der Vaart playing just behind the strikers is also a very interesting move.He should do well in that position.Very good looking Newcastle side there.

The Chelsea Formation:

Reeves:Unusual formation chosen by Jose Mourinho there.A 4-3-3.I think it will work well because Newcastle do not have any one in the centre of midfield.Lampard will have alot of work to do in this match. And Albert Luque is making his debut.Interesting to see Kezman playing on the left. He's more of a central player.

Reeves: Overall, both teams are playing very good formations there and this will be a tight match.Newcastle will look to be playing down the wings, considering the pace of Jenas and Esposito, while Chelsea will look to play narrow, dominating possession.

John: Yes very interesting match here on our hands.Well, its time for kick-off.We're taking you to the match folks, after this short break. Its Chelsea vs Newcastle,up next.

I think Newcastle might take a few games to settle in and Chelsea's defence looks very strong.
It is intresting tactics from Chelsea though i must say.
But i think Chelsea will come out on top, 2-0.

Was a great report Pete, keep up the good work :)
