Styris and Oram had lots of work to do ...Kiwis needed a big partnership to win this match...Styris was looking in good touch as he played a beatiful straight drive for four ....while Oram at the other end was struggling to face tait...but thankfully it was his last over of his spell...Oram played Johnson very comfortably ...he played two cover drives for four...while now Styris was struggling to face Johnson...Bolwing change took place as Hogg was given the ball...It was getting tense chase for the Kiwis as the Required run rate had climbed to 7 rpo...But the two men in the centre kept their calm...Styris rotated the strike and Oram did the hitting part..he hit Hogg for 2 consecutive four on the on side and he again lowered the required run rate...Styris to started going after the bowlers as he reached his deserved 50...his first of the series and a much needed one...Styris went after Johnson and Hogg...he played some superb shots ....Punter looked worried as the moment....
Ponting looks worried as Styris and Oram get going
Oram to soon reached his 2nd fifty of the series...Ponting introduced a suprise bowling change in form of Symonds as the fifth bowler...the ball was turning and so Styris and Oram decided to take easy singles rather than going over the top which was very risky as the feilders were placed on the boundary...Aussies needed a breakthrough...the partnership was rising ...it had reached 140 when Hogg was able to get Styris...Styris tried to go down the pitch but was caught at log off by Clarke...Aussies were back into the match as McCullum came in...Styris got an standing avation as he departed for 75....Kiwis were 254/5..

Aussies celebrate as they have the upper hand...
But there was still Oram remaining...he was looking vert threatening as he scored two sixes of the bowling of Symonds...He hit one over long on and the other over long off...the next four balls cost another 9 runs including two delightful four on the off side...Kiwis needed 8 runs of the last over of Clarke...Oram hit the first ball to third man and was run out while running the second run...he was way out of his crease...Oram run out for 99...and superb innings came to an end...Crowd and the Aussie players congratulated him...Gillespie and Bond had to do it if they had to retain the trophy...Kiwis needed 7 of five balls...Gillespie hit the first ball he placed for four trough covers...the next ball he gave strike to Bond...they needed 2 runs of 3 balls...Clarke was able to get two dot balls from the next two balls...so the equation was 2 runs in 1 ball...all the feilder were brought into the circle...Clarke picthed the ball on the ;eg stump and got it to spin in...Bond came down the pitch and hit the ball over mid on and Bond celebrated as they ran 3 ....Bond remained not out on 9.....New Zealand had chased down 311 in 50 overs...
