RS:Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the friendly match between ICC Wolrd XI vs Australia XI for a good cause...I have the two captains with me over here..Ricky has the coin...

MD:Heads

RS: and it has come down heads....Mahendra what wud u like to do?

MD:We wud like to bat first on this pitch.This pitch looks good for spin in the 2nd half of the game so we bat first.

RS:What is ur composition of the side.???

MD:Sanath and Herschelle will open , Ashraful , Pietersen , Yuvi , Jacob and then me.Irfan , Daniel , Murali and Bond after me...

RS:It is a pretty good T20 team...best of luck for this match...

RP:Ravi it looks good for bowling so we wud obviously bowl first on this pitch...

RS:Any changes in the side??

RP:Ya , Warnie comes in for Hogg and McGrath comes in for Tait...it wud be wonderful having them both back for a match..

So the news from the center is that MS Dhoni have won the toss and World XI will bat first..

The Two Teams

MS Dhoni had won the toss and decided to bat first on a bowler freindly pitch...Jayasuriya and Gibbs were set to hope the batting ...Glen McGrath opened the bowling for the Australia XI..Jayasuriya played a good leg glance for four on the first ball of the match...after that he took a couple to end the over..Lee was in the attack from the other end...Gibbs went after him from the start..he played a superb cover drive to Lee..he also played a lofted shot for a four over mid on...but soon Australia striked with a great throw by Symonds to get rid of Jayasuriya..It was almost a sucidal run out no need to run...

Ashraful was the next man to come...He was dismissed the first ball he faced McGrath ...He edged a bouncer form McGrath to Gilchrist and was held easily by him..Ashraful departed for a duck....

Kevin Pietersen came in when Australia dominated the gam with their bowling...World Xi were 16/2...Kp and Gibbs made a good 14 run partnership in which KP played some text book cover drives and a stright drive....but soon a direct throw from cptain Ponting led to the run out of Gibbs...a misunderstanding between the two batsmen...A big blow for World Xi and need one for Australia...
Wolrd XI 30/3...

Yuvraj joined Kp in the middle.....he took a couple of twos....AT the end of 4 overs World XI are 34/3...

Yuvraj and KP had to play some good cricket as World XI were in trouble ....Kevin and Yuvi went after McGrath and Brett Lee....Yuvi played some good strokes while KP was looking in his best ever form....But McGrath soon got rid of Yuvraj...Yuvi trying to play a pull shot but didnt time it and was caught at mid wicket by Johnson....This was turning a great evening for McGrath....

Kevin Pietersen reached is well deserved 50...50 of just 21 balls....crowd was surely entertained by this innings...consisting of 3 fours and 4 sixes....

Inform Oram came in....Punter brought in his first bowling change Mitchell Johnson....KP and Oram had to play an innings to stabilize the World XI innings.....but soon Oram was run out a good throw from the deep by McGrath and ORam was found his bat in the air....Oram goes for 0.....Captain Dhoni came in...he played a good leg glance for four and after that he was caught by Symonds at point...Johnson striked in his first over....

Pathan known as a bowling all rounder had to stay in the crease to support KP...he faced Australia's second bowling change the legendary spinner Shane Warne....Pathan was able to score about 12 runs in his over....
